A particle moves in a circle of radius 21 22m with constant speed 1m/s. find magnitude of average velocity

Answer»

Average velocity of a Body is defined as the vectorial Change in Position (DISPLACEMENT) over a given time.

here the Body is moving in a circular path of radius 21/22 => the CIRCUMFERENCE of the circle is 2*pi*r = 2*(22/7)*(21/22)=6.

therefore the Body takes 6 seconds to TRAVEL the WHOLE circular path. Now in 2 seconds, it will travel to a Point on the circle which makes an angle 120 degrees with the Initial Position about the centre.

Therefore the displacement of the Body is = the distance between Initial and final Points. It can be calculated (using some trignometry) as r*sqrt(3) = 21/22 * sqrt(3).

and the time is 2 sec => the average velocity = sqrt(3) * (21/22)/2

And the average acceleration is defined as the vectorial difference between final and Initial velocities over time. The vectorial difference in this case gives the Magnitude as 1 and the time is 2 sec, meaning the average acceleration = 0.5

An average value of a quantity is defined as the difference of Initial and final values of it's time differential over time. In case of velocity it is the difference of Position (time differential of velocity) over time. SIMILARLY, for acceleration, it is difference in velocity over time. And in this case the quantities are vectors, so it would be vectorial difference.

In case the air grip an induction motor is increased

Answer»

If the AIR gap of an induction motor is INCREASED, the following will happen:

The permeability of the magnetic circuit rotor-to-stator will decrease.The magnetizing inductance of he motor thus decreases.The magnetizing current will increase. This will cause a poorer power factor at all loads.The magnetic flux in the air gap will decrease and leakage fluxes will increase. This will cause a reduction in the maximum available torque.

In summary, the maximum available torque will decrease, power factor will worsen and the motor will run with increased slip.

So it is always good performance-wise to run with as small an air gap as possible, which will reverse all of these effects. But if the air gap is too small, rotor cooling is compromised, and if the rotor expands through overheating (e.g. by exceeding the recommended maximum number of start PER hour) the rotor can “pole” by RUBBING or jamming with the stator. Not a pretty sight!

You may note that LARGER motors have better full-load power factors and less full-load slip than their smaller counterparts. This is mainly because their air gap is smaller as a proportion of the other linear dimensions of the motor

4.

Plz help any one plz

Answer»

Hii..
Here is your ANSWER..

Solution:-
Initial velocity(v) =10m/s
Acceleration=5m/s^2
Time =5 seconds
Final velocity=?

We'll find it by USING 1st equation of motion:-
=  > v = u + at \\  =  > v = 10 + 5 \times 5 \\  =  > v = 35
Now,
We'll find the DISTANCE covered by using 3rd equation of motion:-
=  >  {v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as \\  =  >  {(35)}^{2}  =  {(10) }^{2}  + 2 \times 5 \times s \\  =  > 1225 = 100 + 10s \\  =  > 1225 - 100 = 10s
=  > 1125 = 10s \\  =  > s =  \frac{1125}{10}  \\  =  > s = 112.5m
HOPE it HELPS uh....✌️✌️✌️

*A table clock has its minute hand 5.0 cm long. Find the average velocity of the tip of the minute hand (a) between 6.00 a.m. to 6.15 a.m. (b) between 6.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Answer»

MINUTE hand length =5cm
Average velocity =?
Time =6.00 am to 6.15 am
When the clock shows, 6.00 am , then the minute hand will point TOWARDS 12 and at 6.15 am then it shows at 90 degrees away from the before position.
Distance between initial and final position of tip of NEEDLE will be equal to displacement .
Displacement =hypotenese of right angle traingle.
Displacement =√5² +5²
=7.07cm=7.07/100=0.071m
Tota time= 15 mintues [from 6.am to 6.15am]
=15x60=900s
Average velocity= Total Displacement/total time
=0.071/900=7.88x10⁻⁵ m/s
∴ Average velocity of tip of the minute hand is 7.88x10⁻⁵ m/s

Calorimetry Is the science or act of MEASURING changes instate VARIABLES of a body for the purpose of deriving the heat transferases coated with changes of its STATE due, for example, to hemisphere all REACTIONS,physical changes, ORPHANAGE transitions under specified constraints. Calorimetry is performed with a acalorimeter. The word calorimetry is derived from the Latin word aloe, meaning heat and the Greek word μέτρον (metron), meaning measure. Scottish physician and scientist Joseph Black, who was the first to recognize the distinction between heat and temperature, is said to be the founder of the science of calorimetry.

A resistance coil of 60 ohm is immersed in 42 kg of water .A current of 7A is passed through it .the rise in temperature of water per minute is

Answer» RESISTANCE of coil ,R = 60 ohm
MASS of WATER , M = 42kg
current passing through it , I = 7A
time taken , t = 1 min = 60 sec

you know , heat dissipates , H = I²Rt
= 7² × 60 × 60 = 49 × 3600 J

we also know, Q = Ms ∆T
here M is the mass of water , s is specific heat capacity. and ∆T is the temperature.
so, Q = 42 × 4200 × ∆T

now, Q = H
42 × 4200 × ∆T = 49 × 3600
∆T = 1°C

hence, temperature change is 1°C

48.

If a man rows @ 6kmph in still water & 4.5 km / hr against the current , then his speed along the current is ?

Answer» HEY! ! !

SOLUTION :-

☆ Let the place the man rows to be x and he rows back the same x distance.

In still WATER he rows at 6 kmph. When the current is 1.2 kmph, he goes to that place rowing at 6+1.2 = 7.2 kmph, and when he rows back his speed is 6–1.2 = 4.8 kmph.

The total time : x/7.2 + x/4.8 = 1, or

10x/72 + 10x/48 = 1, or

480x + 720x = 72*48, or

1200x = 72*48, or

x = 72*48/1200 = 2.88 km.

Check: Rowing downstream, time taken = 2.88/7.2 = 0.4 hour.

Rowing UPSTREAM, time taken = 2.88/4.8 = 0.6 hour.

Total time for rowing to and fro = 0.4+0.6 = 1 hour. Correct.

The place is 2.88 km downstream.
