A cylist takes 5ounds of a circular track of diameter 196n in 25 minutes .find his speed

Answer»

Diameter of the circle = 196 m

So, radius of the circle = 196/2 = 98 m

Distance TRAVELED by the cyclist = 5 x circumference of the circle (SINCE he traveled 5 rounds).

Distance traveled by the cyclist = 5 (2πr)

= 5 * 2 * 22/7 * 98

= 3080 m

Time taken by him = 25 min = 25*60 = 1500 s

Speed of the cyclist = Distance/time

= 3080/1500

= 2.05333 m/s

The speed of the cyclist = 2.0533 m/s

Hope this helps you.

what is the commercial unit of electric energy? which uses more energy_a 250w TV set in 1 hour or a 1200w electric iron in 10 minutes and how?

Answer»

Kilowattt- HOUR. Energy for TV set is
energy= power* time
so energy↓TV= 250w* 1hour= 250 *
1000= 250 KWH

now the energy of iron is
energy= 1500*0.16*1000= 240000 or 240 kWh . I hope its HELPFUL.

When acetic acid reacts with ethyl alcohol, we add conc. H₂SO₄ it acts as..........and theprocess is called....................... [ ]a) Oxidizing agent, saponificationb) Dehydrating agent, esterificationc) Reducing agent, Esterificationd) Acid & esterification

Answer»

This reaction is termed as esterification reaction.Ethanoic acid reacts with ethanol in the presence of concentrated sulphuric acid as a catalyst to produce the ester, ethyl ethanoate. The reaction is SLOW and reversible. To reduce the chances of the reverse reaction HAPPENING, the ester is distilled off as soon as it is formed.

Commercial use of esters:

1) To make a substance less water soluble meaning the carboxylic acid is more soluble then its ester.

2) To COMBINE two substances together EG: Procaine with Penicillin so 1 drug 2 effects

3) To create surfactants Eg: Soap

Exples for static friction

Answer»

The REASON is static friction. Friction, in general, is a force that makes it HARDER for TWO OBJECTS to slide ALONGSIDE one another. Static friction is the friction that exists between a stationary object and the surface on which it's resting. Once the objects have already started moving, kinetic friction takes over.

Why we consider small elemental volume for integration?

Answer»

So that the error in it will be less.
intigrals are the sum of all elements present in the volume.

so we will NEED to sum it by TAKING elements as SMALL as POSSIBLE.
consider we need to calculate area of a curve.
we can divide it in many rectangles of same width as SHOWN in image.
we can assume area as sum of areas of all rectangles.
but the area will be right if we take the width of rectangles as small as possible.
