Solve by multiplication method 30m + 44n = 1040m + 55n = 13♊♊♊♊♊♊♊♊♊♊♊

Answer»

Answer:

m = 1/5 , n = 1/11

Step-by-step explanation:

(30M + 44n = 10)4 = 120m + 176n = 40 ----(1)

(40m + 55n = 13)3 = 120m + 165n = 39 ----(2)

(1)-(2) = 11n = 1 => n = 1/11

30m = 10-44×1/11 = 10-4 =6

m = 6/30 = 1/5

3.

( 4.)Out of 10 students, who appeared in a test,three secured less than 30 marks and 3secured more than 75 marks. The markssecured by the remaining 4 students are 35,48, 66 and 40. Find the median score of thewhole group.

Answer»

There is a MISTAKE in this question. The total students are 10 but the marks are given only of 9 students. So, I am SOLVING this question assuming that the students are 9.

Let the marks of those students who scored less than 35 marks be a, b, C and marks of the students who scored more than 70 marks be x, y, z.

The ascending order of the marks = a, b, c, 39, 43, 51, x, y, z

Now,

Median = (n + 1)/2

= (9 + 1)/2

10/2 = 5

so, 5th OBSERVATION is 43.

So, the median score of the whole group is 43 marks.

Show that the points (4, 2,), (7, 5) and (9, 7) do not form a triangle

Answer»

Answer:

Step-by-step EXPLANATION:

Let A(4, 2), B(7,5) and C(9,7) be the given points.........

By using Distance formula,

AB = √[(7-4)2 + (5-2)2]

=> √[(3)2 + (3)2]

=> √(9 + 9)

=>√18

=> 3√2...........

BC = √[(9-7)2 + (7-5)2]

=> √[(2)2 + (2)2]

=> √(4 + 4)

=> √8

=> 2√2.........

AC = √[(9-4)2 + (7-2)2]

=> √[(5)2 + (5)2]

=> √(25 + 25)

=> √50

=> 5√2.......

3√2 + 2√2 = 5√2

AB + BC = AC.

If any three points form a triangle, the sum of any two sides MUST be greater than the third side....

But here they are collinear points.......

So, they dont form a triangle.

Hence, proved!

Amit bought a sofa set for Rs. 50,220 and paid Rs. 1530 for its transportation. If he sold sofa set for Rs 57960. Find the gain percent made

Answer»

Solution

Amount of sofa set = Rs. 50220

Amount of TRANSPORTATION = 1,530

Total C.P = 50220 + 1530 = 51750

Selling PRICE of sofa set = Rs. 57960

S.P is greater than C.P

Therefore here is profit

Profit = S.P - C.P

        = 57960 - 51750

        = 6210

Profit Percent = \dfrac{Profit}{Cost Price}\times100

                = \dfrac{6210}{51750}\times100\\\\\\=<klux>12</klux>\%

Therefore gain percent = 12%
