Discuss the philosophy of Karl Marx and friedrich engles

Answer»

Karl MARX (1818-1883) and Friedrich Engels (1820-1895) added other ideas to this BODY of ARGUMENTS. Marx argued that industrial society was ‘capitalist’. Capitalists owned the capital invested in FACTORIES, and the profit of capitalists was produced by workers. The conditions of workers could not improve as long as this profit was accumulated by private capitalists. Workers had to overthrow capitalism and the rule of private property. Marx BELIEVED that to free themselves from capitalist exploitation, workers had to construct a radically socialist society where all property was socially controlled. This would be a communist society. He was convinced that workers would triumph in their conflict with capitalists. A communist society was the natural society of the future.

Why did the indigo revolts took place?in points→→→

Answer»

The Indigo revolt (or Nil vidroha) was a peasant movement and subsequent uprising of indigo farmers against the indigo planters that arose in Bengal in 1859.
Cause LEAD to revolt - Indigo planting in Bengal dated back to 1777. With expansion of British power in the Nawabate of Bengal, indigo planting became more and more commercially profitable because of the demand for blue dye in Europe. It was introduced in large parts of Burdwan, Bankura, Birbhum, North 24 Parganas, and Jessore (present Bangladesh). The indigo planters persuaded the peasants to plant indigo instead of food crops. They provided loans, called dadon, at a very HIGH interest. Once a farmer took such loans he remained in debt for his whole life before passing it to his successors. The price paid by the planters was meagre, only 2.5% of the market price. The farmers could make no profit growing indigo. The farmers were totally unprotected from the indigo planters, who resorted to mortgages or destruction of their property if they were unwilling to obey them. Government rules favoured the planters. By an ACT in 1833, the planters were granted a free hand in oppression.[citation needed] Even the zamindars sided with the planters. Under this severe oppression, the farmers resorted to revolt.
The Bengali middle class supported the peasants wholeheartedly. Bengali intellectual Harish Chandra Mukherjee described the plight of the poor peasants in his newspaper The Hindu Patriot. However the articles were overshadowed by Dinabandhu Mitra, who depicted the situation in his play Nil Darpan. The play created a huge controversy which was later banned by the East India Company to control the agitation among the Indians.
The revolt
The revolt started from the villages of Gobindapur and Chaugacha[1] in Krishnanagar, Nadia district, where Bishnucharan Biswas and Digambar Biswas first led the rebellion against the planters. It spread rapidly in Murshidabad, Birbhum, Burdwan, Pabna, KHULNA, and Narail. Some indigo planters were given a public trial and executed. The indigo depots were burned down. Many planters fled to avoid being caught. The zamindars were also targets of the rebellious peasants.

14.

What is diffences between the interdependence between individuals and that between nations

Answer»

Economic interdependence is a consequence of specialization or the division of labor. The participants in any economic system must be part of a trading network to obtain the products they cannot produce efficiently for themselves. Any change in such a network affects other participants, so that the demands for various products and the incomes of the participants are interdependent. As A. A. Cournot wrote in Mathematical Researches into the theory of Wealth "...the economic system is a whole in which all of the parts are connected and react on ONE another. An increase in the income of the producers of commodity A will affect the DEMAND for commodities B, C, etc. and the incomes of their producers, and by their reaction will affect the demand for commodity A." [1] Such complex reactions are evident in general equilibrium theory.

The economic interdependence of nations has been studied extensively by professors all around the world. Such an international economic interaction is commonly thought of as a dollar value of the transaction of goods and services between nations (Cooper),[2] several academics have CHALLENGED this fundamental paradigm over time. Baldwin suggests that economic interdependence may be conceived as the opportunity costs incurred from potential exit costs that incur as a result of breaking existing economic ties between nations. Whitman, cited by Baldwin, further expands on Cooper's definition and proposes that economic interdependence should also involve the degree of sensitivity of a country’s economic behaviour to policies and development of countries outside its border. However, empirical evidence to support the LATTER definition is a lot harder to find, given its ambiguity (Baldwin).

Taj mahal ke bare me likna hii

Answer»

Why did America invade the Indo China for the bit now

Answer»

Sino Indian War = Mapping error + Clueless, old Indian leadership + belligerent China that was trying to prove something.

Both China and India were great nations with a long history and after the European colonization in 19th century, both were rebuilding in the mid 20th century. But, both the nations could not decide how far their borders went as the nations waxed and waned at various times. China and India had two border issues.

Aksai Chin in Kashmir (Western front) -- Johnson line

Arunachal Pradesh in North East India (Eastern Front) -- McMahon line

Western front:
Although I consider myself a patriotic Indian, I BELIEVE this is a serious case of India screwing up. We were fighting against a major power over a territory (Aksai Chin) that has virtually nothing to do with India. It was neither inhabited nor strategically important to India. OTOH, for China this territory is their major connection between their two main western provinces - Xinjiang and Tibet.

The genesis of the war lies in the Johnson line of mid 1800s that put the map of Ladakh far into the China's province of Xinjiang. Although neither the terrain nor its history bore any evidence of a connection with India, a civil servant at the Survey of India put the region with Kashmir.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ori...
Later, British & Chinese agreed on the more feasible Maccartney-Mcdonald line that put this region in China.

However, the Maharaja of Kashmir still didn't want to give up the region and had it in their map. Having took over Kashmir, Nehru kept it in India's map.

When Chinese authorities pushed back, Nehru tried to defend the indefensible line. The fact that India could not put a single human into the 30,000 sq.km region while China was BUILDING a massive HIGHWAY, itself should have pointed to the actual claimant of the land.

But, Nehru was too headstrong and he was emboldened by the fact that China was in enmity with both the world powers - US & USSR at that time. Nehru thought that he could get away with his claim and China dare not attack India. The old man's gamble failed and China wanted to teach India a lesson while still sending a powerful message to the rest of the world.

India lost the war and China took back its territory.

Eastern front:
On the eastern front, the story was tricky. Both China and India have a claim over the land (Arunachal Pradesh & Sikkim as it is known internationally and Kham holdouts/Southern Tibet as they are known in China) - although the geography and culture favor India's claim. India considered Himalayas as the natural boundary and it was also defensible. During the war, India held its territory and didn't lose much. It was also aided by the fact that India had a sizable air force BASED in Calcutta and any major advance into the plains of Assam could have put the Chinese troops in major disadvantage facing India's air attack.

IMO, India should have negotiated and GIVEN up Aksai Chin while firmly putting an end to China's claims on the eastern side. That would have been fair to both sides & we could have avoided a nasty war.
