What happene 3April 1919 Punjab

Answer»

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, ALSO known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919 when troops of the British Indian Army under the COMMAND of Colonel Reginald Dyer fired rifles into a crowd of Indians, who had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab. The civilians had assembled to condemn the arrest and deportation of two national leaders, Satya Pal and Saifuddin Kitchlew. There has been much debate over whether the crowd knew of the proclamation Dyer had made banning meetings, in its supposed inefficacy, however, Raja Ram has ARGUED that the crowd formed in deliberate defiance, being the beginning of Indian nationalism. On Sunday, 13 April 1919, Dyer was convinced of a major insurrection and he BANNED all meetings; however this notice was not widely disseminated. That was the day of Baisakhi, the main Sikh festival, and many villagers had gathered in the Bagh. On hearing that a meeting had assembled at Jallianwala Bagh, Dyer went with Sikh, Gurkha, Baluchi, Rajput troops from 2-9th Gurkhas, the 54th Sikhs and the 59th Sind Rifles[9] to a raised bank and ordered them to shoot at the crowd. Dyer continued the firing for about ten minutes, until the ammunition supply was almost exhausted. Dyer stated that 1,650 rounds had been fired, a number apparently derived by COUNTING empty cartridge cases picked up by the troops.

Writ about hoa hao movement

Answer»

HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER‼️

✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️
Hoa Hao, in full Phat Giao Hoa Hao,Vietnamese Buddhist religious movement that was formed in 1939 by the Buddhist REFORMER Huynh Phu So. The Hoa Hao, along with the syncretic religious group Cao Dai, was one of the first groups to initiate armed hostilities against the Frenchand later the Japanese colonialists.

Based in the prosperous Mekong River delta area of southern VIETNAM, where its adherents were mostly peasants, tenants, and rural workers, the Hoa Hao grew rapidly during the Japanese occupation in World War II. After the war, it continued as an INDEPENDENT force in Vietnamese politics, opposing both the French colonialists and the Viet Minhnationalist movement of Ho Chi Minh. After 1954 the Hoa Hao and Cao Dai began armed opposition to the U.S.-backed government of President Ngo Dinh DIEM. At the time of Diem’s death in 1963, the Hoa Hao had control of several southern and western provinces of South Vietnam. Though many Hoa Hao adherents joined the communist-backed National Liberation Front in the late 1960s, the Hoa Hao remained a powerful independent force in South Vietnamese politics until the final victory of the communists in 1975.

Describe the three stages of unfolding of the non co-operation movement in india

Answer»

Gandhiji had proposed that the movement should unfold in stages.
It should have begun with the SURRENDER of titles that the government awarded, and a boycott of civil services, army, police, courts and legislative councils, schools, and foreign goods. Then, in case the government used repression, a full civil disobedience CAMPAIGN would be launched.

The movement did start with boycott and swadeshi MEASURES but it turned out to be VIOLENT in some places, especially the Chauri Chaura incident which marked the END of Non Cooperation movement.

Give light on the thought given by james mill

Answer»

James Mill (1773–1836) was a Scots-born political PHILOSOPHER, historian, psychologist, educational theorist, economist, and legal, political and penal reformer. Well-known and highly regarded in his day, he is now all but forgotten. Mill's REPUTATION now RESTS mainly on two biographical facts. The first is that his first-born son was John Stuart Mill, who became even more eminent than his father. The second is that the elder Mill was the collaborator and ally of Jeremy Bentham, whose subsequent reputation also eclipsed the elder Mill's. My aim here is to try, insofar as possible, to remove Mill from these two large shadows and to reconsider him as a formidable thinker in his own right.

Mill's range of interests was remarkably wide, extending from education and psychology in his two-volume Analysis of the PHENOMENA of the Human Mind(1829b), to political economy (he persuaded his friend David Ricardo to write on that subject, as Mill himself did in his Elements of Political Economy, 1821), to penology and prison reform, to the law and history, and, not least, to political philosophy. On these and other subjects he wrote five books and more than a thousand essays and reviews. It is with Mill the political philosopher that the present article is PRINCIPALLY concerned.
