Describe an incident when you were caught in a traffic jam for hours.what difficulties did you face? what were the consequences? Essay 350-400 words.

Answer»

I had an experience of getting stuck in a traffic jam a few days ago. Ordinarily, there is less traffic congestion in China. But if unluckily you are stuck in a traffic jam, it may take your life near to ordeal. The traffic jam may last for an uncertain period of time.

It was Monday and I was on my way to the office. Though I started for the office early in the morning, it took over two hours for me to reach there. Without any exact reason, there was a traffic congestion on the main street. I tried for some shortcuts but it took over 20 MINUTES to get on the main street track. Then I had to wait for the rest of the moments until the jam broken.

I was going to my office. It was an important day for me in the office. A new deal was to be signed with a party over some environmental issues. I was assigned to prepare the documents on the treaty SIGNING issue. The company I worked for mostly deals with the environmental degradation and a group of the party from the UN CAME to China to sign the deal. If the deal is signed, my company will be responsible for creating a green environment in workplaces. Hence, it was an important matter for the entire office.

I had spent nearly two and half hours on the street. It was an unbearable experience. Earlier, I had the similar experience to get stuck in the traffic jams. But never had waited for over 15 to 20 minutes. This was a different experience with me. LUCKILY, I took a book with me and started reading the book to pass the time. Almost all the vehicles on the street were a standstill. I do not know what actually happened on that day. Waiting during a traffic jam is never expected by anyone. It kills time unnecessarily and makes the moments boring.

The feeling about the traffic jam was unpleasant. It made me late to reach office. So, I had to undergo some pressure from my superior AUTHORITY. The deal was set to be signed at 10.00am while I reached office late. And also made late to prepare the necessary documents. In fact, all the documents were ready and needed a proofing and printing. The processes were simple but performing all the tasks took time unnecessarily. I blamed the traffic jam for all the undesired events. If there were no traffic jams, I would have reached office in time and did everything within due time. But it was my bad luck.

Think of the things you do best. How will they be useful in a crisissituation? Write them down.

Answer»

You can’t plan for a life crisis. It arrives WITHOUT warning, turning your well-ordered days into confusion and chaos. As you sit trying to MAKE SENSE of what’s HAPPENED, your new reality can paralyze you. Suddenly, even getting up from the couch is a challenge.

I understand. In the aftermath of an unexpected break-up with my BOYFRIEND of two and a half years, I felt like I was headed for a breakdown. Without the security of my relationship, my new life overwhelmed me. I wasn’t sure I could cope with the loss.

Read the lesson “ When A Sapling Is Planted”. Wangari Maathai calls upon the youth to save the earth from destruction. Write an ESSAY exploring the positive steps that we can take to save our planet from environmental degradation.

Answer»

YUP! HERE IS YOUR ANSWER !!!

As world leaders gather in Davos this week to discuss how to better SHAPE our future through strengthened cooperation, it’s imperative to also focus on how to prevent the health of our planet from failing. This is not “doom and gloom” – the risk is real.

A main theme this year’s World Economic Forum Annual Meeting is the role of technology in solving the world’s biggest problems. We are already embarking on a new phase of technological revolution that will fundamentally change the way we live, work, relate to one another and interact with the external world. The speed, breadth and depth of current breakthroughs has no historical precedent and is disrupting almost every sector in every country.

The challenge and opportunity before us TODAY is to begin to think of development through the lens of environmental health. The environment as a primary concern, not an afterthought. The science has never been clearer. We know the impact, the consequences and the unsustainability of our development model. As we continue to CONNECT in new ways, we must also reconnect to Earth. The undeniable truth is that we continue to do great damage to the planet, and that we haven’t learned how to grow our economy without harming nature. More than technology, doing so will take a fundamental shift in mindset – one that will redefine our relationship with the planet and its natural systems.

No human technology can fully replace “nature’s technology”, perfected over hundreds of millions of years in delivering key services to sustain life on Earth. A productive, diverse natural world and a stable climate have been the basic assets at the foundation of the success of our civilisation, and will continue to be so in future. A fundamental issue in the previous technological revolutions has been the lightness with which we have taken for granted the natural environment rather than valuing it as a condition necessary to development.

If we continue to produce, consume and power our lives the way we do right now, forests, oceans and weather systems will be overwhelmed and collapse. Unsustainable agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure projects, mining and energy are LEADING to unprecedented biodiversity loss and habitat degradation, overexploitation, pollution and climate change. While their impacts are INCREASINGLY evident in the natural world, the consequences on people and businesses are real too.

From food and water scarcity to the declining quality of the air we breathe, the evidence has never been clearer. We are, however, in many instances failing to make the link. We act as Homo technologicus, with the mindset of our hunter-gatherer ancestors. Alongside the technological revolution, we need an equally unprecedented cultural revolution in the way we connect with the planet.

How do we come to know that Mr.Easton was the real conviet

Answer»

Answer:

ok

Explanation:

The story line / Plot summary

The story “Hearts and Hands” is set on a train, eastbound B. M. Express, where an elegantly dressed, luxurious pretty young woman Miss Fairchild meets by CHANCE one of his old acquaintances Mr. Easton. Mr. Easton greets her with his left hand as his right hand is handcuffed with the left hand of another glum-faced, heavily built and roughly dressed man seated next to him.

Miss Fairchild is surprised to SEE that they are handcuffed. Sensing Mr. Easton’s embarrassment, the second man comes to the rescue by explaining that Mr. Easton is a marshal who is taking him to Leavenworth prison as he has got seven years of jail term for counterfeiting. This gives Miss Fairchild some relief, as she started to think SOMETHING bad about her old friend. Then, they continue the conversation further. Fairchild comes to know that Mr. Easton has given up his luxurious life in Washington and has taken the job of a marshal in the west. Then the woman says she also loves the west and wants to live there.

At that point the second man demands that he must be taken to the smoker now as he hasn’t had a smoke all DAY. So, Mr. Easton rises and leaves with that man bidding good-bye to the woman.

Two other passengers in a nearby seat heard the entire conversation. One of them comments that the man (Mr. Easton) holds such a prestigious post of a marshal at a very young age. Then the other man comments that he has never seen an officer to handcuff a prisoner to his right hand.

So, at the very end of the story, we come to know that actually the glum-faced man is the officer and Mr. Easton is the prisoner.

Can anyone tell me the story of heer and Ranjha I have to write a play on it please help me

Answer»

Answer:

May your play be the best. All the best!

Here you go with the story:-

Explanation:

HEER is an extremely beautiful WOMAN, born into a wealthy family of the Sial tribe in Jhang which is now Punjab, Pakistan. Ranjha (whose first name is Dheedo; Ranjha is the surname, his caste is Ranjha), a Jat of the Ranjha tribe, is the youngest of four brothers and lives in the village of Takht Hazara by the river Chenab. Being his father's favorite son, unlike his brothers who had to toil in the lands, he led a life of ease, playing the flute ('Wanjhli'/'Bansuri'). After a quarrel with his brothers over land, Ranjha leaves home. In Waris Shah's version of the epic, it is said that Ranjha left his home because his brothers' wives refused to GIVE him food. Eventually he arrives in Heer's village and falls in love with her. Heer's father offers Ranjha a job herding his cattle. Heer becomes mesmerised by the way Ranjha plays his flute and eventually falls in love with him. They meet each other secretly for many years until they are caught by Heer's jealous uncle, Kaido, and her parents Chuchak and Malki. Heer is forced by her family and the local priest or 'Maulvi' to marry another man named Saida Khera.

Ranjha is heartbroken. He wanders the countryside alone, until eventually he meets a Shaiva Jogi (ascetic). After meeting Gorakhnath, the founder of the "Kanphata" (pierced ear) sect of jogis at Tilla Jogian (the 'Hill of Ascetics', located 80 kilometres north of the historic town of Bhera, Sargodha District, Punjab), Ranjha becomes a jogi himself, piercing his ears and renouncing the material world. While reciting the name of the Lord, he wanders all over Punjab, eventually finding the village where Heer now lives.

The two return to Heer's village, where Heer's parents agree to their marriage - THOUGH some versions of the story state that the parent's agreement is only a deception. On the wedding day, Kaido poisons her food so that the wedding will not take place, in order to PUNISH the girl for her behaviour. Hearing this news, Ranjha rushes to aid Heer, but is too late, as she has already eaten the poison and has died. Brokenhearted once again, Ranjha eats the remaining poisoned Laddu (sweet) which Heer has eaten and dies by her side.

Heer and Ranjha are buried in Heer's hometown, Jhang. Love-smitten couples and others often pay visits to their mausoleum.

This love story is forever.

How does prospero compensate Ferdinand for the punishment borne by the letter ?

Answer»

Answer:

In Act I, Prospero tries to dismiss his tyrannical demands for Ferdinand's SERVICE as "TRIALS of thy love"but also makes mention in this first scene that he has "punished" Ferdinand, which implies a need for retribution for a wrongdoing (IV.i.6). The word "punished" that he uses RECALLS the fabricated charges Prospero raises against Ferdinand in the first act, of Ferdinand being a SPY or a potential usurper; and the irony is that Prospero heaps his SUSPICION on Ferdinand, who has no such designs, while forgetting the very real plots of Caliban and his brothers.
