In exothermic reactions why products having lower energy than the reactants why |
Answer» The reactions in which HEAT ENERGY is released are called exothermic reactions. In exothermic reactions, a part of the energy present in the reactants is PASSED on to the surroundings from the system in the form of heat. Thus, the energy of PRODUCTS is LESSER than that of reactants. |

Molecular simulation for styrene polymer and graphene sheer |
Answer» A molecular level study has been made on enhanced MECHANICAL and tribological properties of graphene-reinforced styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) composites using molecular dynamics simulation technique. Constant strain method is APPLIED to calculate the mechanical properties of developed structures. Two molecular level layer model one with SBR and ANOTHER with graphene-reinforced SBR composites were developed, and shear LOADING was applied on the top and bottom Fe layers to study tribological properties, i.e., abrasion rate, and friction coefficient. The Young’s and shear modulus of composites with different graphene OXIDE volume fractions have been developed and studied. The 5 vol% addition of graphene into SBR matrix shows a significant increase in Young’s and shear modulus and hardness. By incorporation of the GO, 48 and 56% decrease in friction coefficient and abrasion rates of SBR polymer was observed, respectively. About 15% reduction in the RDF values of GO/SBR composites was obtained. The interaction energy between graphene oxide sheet and SBR matrix during the shear process has been obtained and discussed. |

Vapour pressure formulae |
Answer» In chemistry, vapor PRESSURE is the pressure that is exerted on the WALLS of a sealed container when a substance in it evaporates (CONVERTS to a GAS). To find the vapor pressure at a given temperature, use the Clausius-Clapeyron EQUATION: ln(P1/P2) = (ΔHvap/R)((1/T2) - (1/T1)). |

If 10g of hydrogen and 142g of chlorine are reacted, find the volume of the HCl produced at STP |
Answer» Balanced Equation = H₂ + Cl₂ => 2 HCl According to stoichiometry, 2 G of Hydrogen reacts with 71 g of chlorine to FORM 73 g of Hydrogen Chloride. Therefore if 10 g reacts with 142 g of chlorine, the HCl produced will be 152 g or 152 ml of HCl |

Calculate the molarity of sodiumhydrocside solution by desoving 4g sodiumhydrocside in water to form 250ml solution .......fast its argent.......... |
Answer» Molarity = Number of moles of solute / Volume of SOLUTION in liters Number of moles of solute = GIVEN MASS / MOLAR mass Given mass = 4 g Molar mass of solute = NaOH = 23 + 16 + 1 = 40 g Number of moles = 4 g / 40 g = 0.1 mole Volume of solution = 250 ml = 0.25 liters => Molarity = 0.1 / 0.25 = 100 / 25 = 0.4 M Hence molarity of that solution is 0.4 M. |

name the technique used for separating of a mixture of two miscible liquids what is the principle behind this technique where does this technique find application |
Answer» The technique used depends on whether the liquids dissolve in each other, and so are miscible, or if they are immiscible. Fractional distillation is a technique used to SEPARATE liquids ACCORDING to their boiling points. CHROMATOGRAPHY is used to separate MIXTURES of coloured compounds |

Concept of gibbs free energy entropy and enthalpy in protein |
Answer» The components of the CHANGE in Gibbs FREE energy are different, however. As water freezes, the water molecules become more ordered and so the entropy change is negative. ... INTERACTIONS between BIOLOGICAL molecules that occur spontaneously can also be driven either by entropy or enthalpy. |

Derive relationship between molality, molarity and density? |
Answer» RELATIONSHIP between MOLARITY, MOLALITY and density: Density = Molarity/Molality Given Molarity = 12.5 mol/vol(CC) and Molality = 11.5 mol/mass (grams) Density = [12.5 mol/vol(cc)] /[11.5 mol/mass (grams)] Density = 1.087 grams/cc |

In fireworks the green flame is due to presence of |
Answer» Different chemicals are used in FIREWORKS which give them different colours. The green colour that we see in the fireworks is due to the presence of barium Chloride (BaCl2). This is based on the phenomenon of incandescence, which is the phenomenon by which elements emit different colours on HEATING (just like IRON turns RED on being heated and then white-hot as the temperature rises). |
