Definition of isometric and isotonic contra tion in simle language

Answer»

Isotonic literally means 'same tension,' where 'iso'- means 'the same' and 'tonic' refers to 'tension or force' - in this case, in the muscle. In an isotonic CONTRACTION, tension DEVELOPS to a point and then remains constant while the muscle changes its length. In other words, motor units are ACTIVATED to develop the necessary tension in the muscle. We utilize isotonic contractions when we MOVE our limbs.

Basic substance formed chlor alkali process chemical reactions

Answer»

he chloralkali process (also chlor-alkali and chlor alkali) is an industrial process for the electrolysis of sodium chloride. It is the technology used to produce chlorine and sodium hydroxide (lye/caustic soda),[1] which are commodity chemicals required by industry. 35 million tons of chlorine were prepared by this process in 1987.[2] Industrial scale production BEGAN in 1892.

Usually the process is conducted on a brine (an aqueous solution of NaCl), in which case NaOH, hydrogen, and chlorine result. When using calcium chloride or potassium chloride, the products contain calcium or potassium instead of sodium. Related processes are known that use molten NaCl to give chlorine and sodium metal or condensed hydrogen chloride to give hydrogen and chlorine.

The process has a HIGH energy consumption, for example over 4 billion KWH per year in WEST Germany in 1985.[3] Because the process gives equivalent amounts of chlorine and sodium hydroxide (two moles of sodium hydroxide per mole of chlorine), it is necessary to find a use for these products in the same proportion. For every mole of chlorine produced, one mole of hydrogen is produced. Much of this hydrogen is used to produce hydrochloric acid or ammonia, or is used in the hydrogenation of organic compounds.

Al2(so4)3 contain 3.2 gm of sulphur. then weight of al in sample is??

Answer»

3 x 32 GRAMS of Sulphur is present in 1 mole of Al₂(SO₄)₃

So, 3.2 grams of Sulphur is present in ¹/₃₀ moles of Al₂(SO₄)₃

We, know each mole of Al₂(SO₄)₃ contains 2 moles of Al

So ¹/₃₀ moles of Al₂(SO₄)₃ contains ¹/₁₅ moles of Al

Mass of ¹/₁₅ moles of Al = 27 x ¹/₁₅ = 1.8 grams

Therefore, mass of Al in the sample is 1.8 grams.

32.

What is the electronegativity of iron in Fe(0.96)O

Answer»

Electronegativity of francium was chosen by Pauling as 0.7, close to that of caesium (also assessed 0.7 at that point). The base value of hydrogen was LATER increased by 0.10 and caesium's electronegativity was later REFINED to 0.79; however, no refinements have been made for francium as no experiment has been conducted and the old value was kept. However, francium is expected and, to a small EXTENT, observed to be more electronegative than caesium. See francium for details.^ See Brown, Geoffrey (2012). The Inaccessible Earth: An integrated view to its structure and composition. SPRINGER Science & Business MEDIA. p. 88. ISBN 97894011151

33.

What is the difference between accuracy and precision

Answer»

The Difference between Accuracy and Precision
The FOLLOWING are a few differences between accuracy and precision:
Accurate data need to very close to the TARGET value, but PRECISE data need not be close to the target value. Precise data only need to be close together.
For quality purposes, accuracy is desired while precision is not. Precision is required when it is coupled with accuracy.
Accurate data can be precise but precise data may or may not be accurate. Precision is not dependent on accuracy.
For accuracy, one measurement is ENOUGH; HOWEVER, for precision many measurements are required.

Why is the NH3 more acidic than CH4?

Answer»

Very SIMPLY acidity increases when HYDROGEN is attached to a more electronegative atom in a PERIOD. HF > H2O > NH3 > CH4

Along a group acidity increases as you go down and we can simply relate it to BOND length.

HI > HBr > HCl > HF

50.

Why most metal fluorides are ionic than metal chlorides?

Answer»

Metal FLUORIDES are more ionic than metal chlorides because -

Fluorine is smaller in size than cl

Electronegativity of Fluorine is HIGHER than chlorine

Since the ionic character of elements increases with the INCREASING electronegativity

This leads to an INCREASED ionic character of F and it has a lesser tendency to form a COVALENT bond.
