Copper is more reactive than silver, gold and platinum prove with chemical equation

Answer»

In activity series silver is placed below the COPPER. hence copper is more reactive than silver.

The more reactive element can displace the less reactive element from its solution.
take two test TUBES in  test tube -1 take silver Sulphate solution(white in color) & in test tube-2  take copper Sulphate solution (blue in color). Add copper turnings to test tube -1 and add silver piece to test tube -2 KEEP the test tubes undisturbed for 15 minutes. After sometime observe the color changes in both test tubes. The color in test tube – 1 changed from white to blue and there is no color change in test tube-2.this indicates in test tube-1 copper displaces silver from its silver Sulphate solution forms copper Sulphate. And in test tube- 2 no displacement reaction takes place. Hence from this EXPERIMENT we are proving that copper is more reactive than silver.

17.

The freezing point and boiling point of a substance 'P' are -220 degrees Celsius and -185 degrees Celsius respectively. At which range of temperature will the substance 'P' exist in the form of a liquid?

Answer»

Answer:

Matter typically exists in one of three states: SOLID , liquid , or GAS . The state a given substance exhibits is also a physical property. Some substances EXIST as gases at room TEMPERATURE (oxygen and carbon dioxide), while others, like water and mercury metal, exist as LIQUIDS. Most metals exist as solids at room temperature. All substances can exist in any of these three states. In addition to existing in one of the three states, matter can also undergo a change of state. A change of state occurs when matter is converted from one state to another state for example when a liquid is converted to a gas or a solid is converted to a liquid.

21.

What mass of co2 will contain same number of atoms as are contained in 40g of oxygen?

Answer»

The molar MASS of OXYGEN is 32g. Thus, there are 6.022 X 1023 molecules of O2 in 32g of O2.

So

 32g of O2 = 6.022 X 1023 molecules of O2

 1g of O2 = (6.022 X 1023 / 32) molecules of O2

 40g of O2 = (6.022 X 1023 X 40) / 32 molecules of O2

 = 7.5275 X 1023 molecules of O2

Thus, there are 7.5275 X 1023molecules of O2 in 40g of O2. Now, the molar mass of carbon dioxide gas (CO2) is 44G. Thus, there are 6.022 X 1023 molecules of CO2 in 44g of CO2. So

 mass of 6.022 X 1023 molecules of CO2 = 44g

 mass of 1 molecule of CO2 = 44 / (6.023 X 1023) g

 So, mass of 7.5275 X 1023 molecules of CO2 = (44 X 7.5275 X 1023) / (6.022 X 1023) g of CO2

 = 55g of CO2

What r the problems of plastic in earth with earth?

Answer»

With more than eight million tonnes going into the oceans every year, it is estimated there will be more plastic than fish by 2050 and 99 per cent of all the seabirds on the planet will have consumed some. It is thought the sea now CONTAINS some 51 trillion microplastic particles – 500 TIMES more than stars in our galaxy.

It is found all over the planet, with 300 billion pieces in the once-pristine Arctic and a remote island in the Pacific, the uninhabited HENDERSON Island, one of the Pitcairns, believed to have the highest concentration of plastic pollution in the world.

Is it dangerous?

Plastic in the sea smells like food to fish, finds new study

Some plastic is toxic and it can disrupt hormones crucial for a healthy existence. Even when it is not dangerous itself – or not known to be – plastic acts like a magnet for a range of other POISONS and pollutants we have spilled into the natural world.

To sea turtles, plastic bags in the water can look like jellyfish, floating on the surface plastic can appear to be a tasty snack for a seagull, based on millennia of experience, and to baby perch it appears more appetising than the plankton they are supposed to eat.

Unsurprisingly, gulping down all this indigestible poison instead of food is bad for their health. So far, it is known that marine litter harms more than 600 species amid what some regard as the beginning of the sixth mass extinction of life on Earth.

31.

The empirical formula of a compound is ch2o 0.25 mole of this compound

Answer»

empirical formula of the compound is CH2O, its molecular formula can be written as N(CH2O) = C(n)H(2n)O(n),It is given that 0.25 MOLES of the compound contains 1G of H i.e 0.25 mol -> 1g of H,This means (2n)(0.25) moles of H in the compound contains 1g of H i.e (2n)(0.25) -> 1g,(2n)(0.25) = 1,2n = 12 or n = 6,So the molecular formula of CH2O is C6H12O6

The correct order of electron gain enthalpy with negative sign of f,cl,br and i having atomic number 9,17,35,53 respectively is

Answer»

These are the group 17 elements arranged in order as we move down the group. Thus the correct order of decreasing electronegativity will be

Cl

F

Br

I

The electronegativity decreases as we move down the group. But the electron gain enthalpy of Cl is more than that of F because of the small SIZE of F which LEADS to REPULSION in the electrons.

Rietveld refinement of y type hexaferrites

Answer»

His paper attempts to provide a historical survey of structure of various types of hexaferrites. It provides information about synthesis, characterization, structural, magnetic and dielectric properties of Y-type hexagonal ferrites using various chemical routes. We have prepared a series of cobalt doped Sr 2 Cu 2-x Co x Fe 12 O 22 (x = 0.0 to 1.0) hexaferrites using a wet chemical co-precipitation technique. The prepared hexaferrite precursors were calcined at 950 ºC for 4 hours in a furnace and slowly cooled to room temperature. The CRYSTAL structure of Y-type hexaferrites is RATHER complicated. The chemical and structural changes were examined in detail by X-ray DIFFRACTION (XRD), Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction studies showed that sintering temperature as low as 950°C was sufficient to produce a single-phase Y-type hexaferrite material. The dielectric measurements were carried out over the frequency range of 100 Hz to 2 MHz at room temperature using an LCR meter to study the variation of dielectric constant and loss tangent with frequency. The magnetic properties of hexaferrite samples were investigated using a VIBRATION sample magnetometer (VSM), and a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer in the temperature range 30K to 200K. A change from ferromagnetic STATE to super paramagnetic state has been observed in Co doped Sr 2 Cu 2-x Co x Fe 12 O 22 (x= 0.6 to 1.0) hexaferrite. The novel applications of all types of hexaferrite materials have been described.

What are the impact of global warming explain with example?

Answer»

Our climate is determined by patterns of temperature, wind, atmospheric pressure, humidity and rain over a long period of time. There are different climates around the world, such as tropical, dry and moderate

The climate of an area determines its seasons and when they come and go. This, in turn, affects the type of plants that grow and which animals SURVIVE. The species and places we love depend on intricate ecosystems, and even SMALL changes to the climate can disrupt the delicate balance of nature.

As humans, every aspect of our life is reliant on the natural environment. This includes the food we eat, the AIR we breathe, the water we drink, the clothes we wear and the PRODUCTS that are made and sold to CREATE jobs and drive the economy.

A healthy and stable climate is our most precious natural resource.

Atomic radius goes on decreases from left to right in a period give reason

Answer»

As we move from left to right in a PERIOD, the no of ELECTRONS in the outer shell of the ATOM increase, which results in increase in nuclear charge of the nucleus ,as the same no of protons are ADDED to nucleas. This increases the force of attraction between nucleus and electrons in outer shell.

Due to this increased force ,the size of the atom shrinks towards the nucleus, and hence the size decreases…
