Two liquids have 350k and 375k respectively which has more greater intermolecular force of attraction

Answer»

2nd liquid with 375k has more GREATER INTERMOLECULAR SPACE

2.

What is electronegativity

Answer»

Hey!!
The positively charged PROTONS in the nucleus attract the negatively charged electrons. As the number of protons in the nucleus increases, the electronegativity or attraction will increase. Therefore electronegativity increases from left to RIGHT in a row in the PERIODIC table.

7.

WHY JJ THOMSON THOUGHT that the particles coming from cathode are electrons but not atoms charged negatively. .Pls answer it correctly.

Answer»

Explanation:

We know that Same(like)(+,+ or -,-) charges repel each other while different(unlike)(+,-) attract each other.

JJ Thomson found that the PATH through which the cathode ray TRAVELS bent towards a positive metal plate, while it moves (repel)away from a negative metal plate.

So, this makes clear that the particles in the cathode ray were negatively charged.

Experiments with the magnets also proved that the particles in the cathode ray had mass.

One main reason was Photo-electric effect.

It means , The phenomenon of EJECTION of electrons from the metal surface when light FALLS or strikes on it is called Photo-electric effect.

Now, Due to the fact that those negatively charged particles CONTAINED mass and was a Sub-atomic particles which means a constituent of an atom itself so, Thomson thought it would be electrons and not the atoms.

Write an activity to show that silver chloride decomposition reaction

Answer» SILVER chloride is a chemical compound with the chemical formula AgCl. This white CRYSTALLINE SOLID is well KNOWN for its low solubility in water (this behavior being reminiscent of the chlorides of Tl+ and Pb2+). Upon illumination or HEATING, silver chloride converts to silver (and chlorine), which is signaled by greyish or purplish coloration to some samples. AgCl occurs naturally as a mineral chlorargyrite.

When x molecules are removed from 200mg of N2O 2.89*10(-3)moles are left then x will be

Answer»

1mg = 10^-3 g then ,

200mg = 200×10^-3g
_________________________
1 MOLE of NO2 CONTAINS = (14×2)+(16) = 44g/mol

then " y moles contains = 200mg = 200×10^-3g

y = 200×10^3/44

y = 4.55 × 10^-3 moles

then ,

4.55 × 10^-3 - X = 2.89 × 10^-3

- X = (2.89 × 10^-3) - (4.55 × 10^-3)

- X = -1.66 × 10^-3

X = 1.66 × 10^-3
___________________________________________
molar mass:- mass of the one mol of the SUBSTANCE is called molar mass

onother method

mass = number of moles × molar mass

200mg = number of moles × 44g/mol

number of moles = 200×10^-3/44

number of moles = 4.55 × 10^-3 moles

so 200mg of N2O contains 4.55 × 10^-3

therefore ,

4.55 × 10^-3 - X = 2.89 × 10^-3

- X = -1.66 × 10^-3

X = 1.66 × 10^-3

so your answer is 1.66 × 10^-3

31.

liquids generally have lower density as compared to solids.But you must have observed that ice floats on water. find out why.

Answer»

When WATER turns into ice it forms a cage like structure which is why the volume increases.

We know that density =mass/volume
So more the volume LESS is the density.
Hence the density DECREASES and ice FLOATS on water.
Hope that HELPS you :-)

33.

Why does the flow of acid rain in river make the survival of aquatic life in the river difficult

Answer»

Hey mate!

Acid rain ALSO affects aquatic life and surface waters, by changing the pH level in bodies of water.  When there is a high AMOUNT of sulfuric acid, it INTERFERES with a fish’s ability to take in nutrients, salt, and OXYGEN.  For freshwater fish, this acid affects their ability to maintain a balance between minerals and salts in their tissues, which the need to survive.  This acid also results in MUCUS forming in their gills, causing them to not get adequate amounts of oxygen.  This change in pH level impairs some of the fish’s ability to maintain their calcium levels, causes an imbalance of salt in their tissues, and impairs the reproduction ability of the fish.

hope this helps!

Mention the physical qualities and the manner in which these need to be altered for liquefy ingredients gases

Answer»

Temperature and PRESSURE are the physical QUANTITIES needed for liquefying gases.
By decreasing temperature and increasing pressure the gas MOLECULES come together and this LEADS to decrease in kinetic ENERGY of gas molecules and thus it liquifies. Hope my answer is what you were looking for. A thumps up would be appreciated.

During electrolysis of water a few drops of sulphuric acid are added

Answer» Electrolysis of PURE WATER is very lowbecause water is an covalent compound so it can't ionize to releaseions. To INCREASE the conductivity of water a few drops of sulphuricacid is added .Being a strong acid it can ionize completely to release H+ ions. These H+ ions are responsible for the CONDUCTION of electricity.
