⚫ Human Digestive System.

Digestive system of human constits of the Alimentary canal and it's associated glands.
The the digestive organs are mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and associated glands are salivary gland, LIVER and pancreas.

Prossess of digestion of food are ingestion, digestion, absorption, assimilation, and egestion.

⚫ Ingestion :-
↪ Mouth is the special organ for Ingestion of food. With the help of hands the food is put in our mouth.

⚫ Digestion :-
Digestion process is carried out by different organs : Mouth, Stomach and Small Intestine.

♦ Mouth :- In mouth as we put food, firstly teeth chewed that food into small pieces. Then salivary gland secrets saliva and make food wet. Salivary glands secrets an enzyme called amylase it digest starch of food into maltose.

♦ Stomach :- From mouth undigested food enters stomach through oesophagus. Here it churned for 3 hours. Then the wall of stomach secrets gastric juice : Dil.HCL , Pepsin and mucus. HCL make acidic medium, in which pepsin become active and digest protein into small molecules.

♦ Small Intestine :- It is the main site of complete digestion of Carbohydrates, protein, and fats. It receive secretion of liver and pancreas.
▶ Liver :- It secrets bile, which is greenish yellow liquid stored in gall bladder in alkaline NATURE CONTAINING SALTS. Bile salts break the fats present in food into small globules.
▶ Pancreas :- Pancreas secrets pancreatic juice which contain enzyme amylase, trypsin and lipase. Amylase digest starch, trypsin digest protein and lipase digest fats.

⚫ Absorption :-
On completion of Digestion of food their absorption occurs in small Intestine. The inner wall of small Intestine form millions of small finger like thin projection called Villi. These Villi increases the surface area of Small Intestine.
And so the absorption becomes easy and rapid. The digested product ABSORBED and mix with the blood stream.

⚫ Assimilation :-
The nutrients, absorbed from Small Intestine flow through blood and are transported to various parts of the body where different tissues and cells obtain nutritients and utilize them for obtaining energy, for growth and other functions.

⚫ Egestion :-
The undigested food remains and passed on to the large Intestine. Here water and minerals get absorbed from it. The remaining are more or less solidified. This unless and undigested food passed out from anus. This process is also known as defaecation.

7.

Does having 2 hidden layer means a deep neural netwrok

Answer»

Let's look at the architecture of a neural network. Any neural network, but say for simplicity, we take a Multilayer Perception or Feed Forward Network with a single ‘hidden' LAYER.

So the architecture is like

ONE input layer, of size EQUAL to the dimensions of the inputOne output layer, either one node for each class, or one node for a real valued resultThe hidden layer

Now both “input” and “output” layers are self-explanatory.

Now you need to NAME the layer in the middle something. Middle layer or latent layer or hidden layer are what comes naturally. Latent is too technical and may not be correct. Middle doesn't make sense if there are multiple layers. Hidden SUITS well.

Additionally, the hidden layer estimates the output as some function of the input, but the function or the distribution of the data is unknown or hidden. Infact exactly how the individual neurones and their activations estimate the function is also hidden in a multitude of real values, which is difficult to correlate with some real world meaning.

A layer hidden from the interface of the network, estimates a distribution that is not known explicitly using a combination of activations, where the combination is difficult to visualise explicitly. Not exactly poetic, but I think hidden is a pretty natural name, from an engineer's perspective.

Fibresconnective tissue produced by which part of body

Answer»

Connective tissue (CT) is one of the four basic types of animal tissue, along withepithelial tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue. It DEVELOPS from the mesoderm. Connective tissue is found in between other tissues everywhere in the body, including thenervous system. In the central nervous system, the three outer membranes (themeninges) that ENVELOP the brain and spinal cord are composed of connective tissue. They support and protect the body. All connective tissue consists of three main components: fibers (elastic and collagenous fibers),[1]GROUND substance and cells. Not all authorities include BLOOD[2] or lymph as connective tissue because they lack the fiber component. All are immersed in the body WATER.

6.c. How personality plays a role in diseases. Discuss.

Answer»

Personality influences a broad range of health outcomes and mechanisms. Second, the simple descriptive account of Aim 1 is not sufficient, and a theoretical specification needs to be developed to explain the personality-health link and allow for future hypothesis generation. Third, once Aims 1 and 2 are met, it is necessary to demonstrate the clinical utility of personality. In this review I MAKE the case that all three Aims are met. I develop a theoretical framework to understand the links between personality and health drawing on current theorising in the biology, evolution, and neuroscience of personality. I identify traits (i.e., alexithymia, Type D, hypochondriasis, and EMPATHY) that are of particular concern to health psychology and set these within evolutionary cost-benefit analysis. The literature is reviewed within a three-level hierarchical model (individual, group, and organisational) and it is argued that health psychology needs to move from its traditional focus on the individual level to engage group and organisational levels.

Keywords: personality, evolution, diagnosis

When EXPOSED to the same health threat people respond differently: psychologically, behaviourally, physiologically, and ULTIMATELY in terms of prognosis and mortality. EXPLAINING this variability is of central importance for medicine and health psychology, in terms of diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. Personality theory offers a coherent conceptual framework to help explain some of this variabilit

Answer»

On average, the LIVER of an adult weighs between 3.2 and 3.7 pounds. It is located in the RIGHT upper quadrant of the abdominal cavity. The liver has many functions and plays a large role in human metabolism and digestion. The organ stores glycogen, decomposes red blood cells, synthesizes plasma proteins, produces hormones, and removes toxins and waste products from the blood. The liver also produces bile and sends it to the gallbladder for storage. The bile is then released into the digestive SYSTEM to EMULSIFY fats.

Difference Between UNICELLULER and multicellular......

Unicellular organism

1.Body is made up of single cell
2.DIVISION of labour is at the organelle level. It gives a low level of operational efficiency.
3. A single cell carries out all the life processes
4.The cell body is EXPOSED to the environment on all sides
5.An injury of the cells can cause death of the organism.
6.A cell body cannot attain a large size because of the limit imposed by surface area to volume ratio
7.Lifespan is short due to heavy load of work.
8.Power of division is not lost
9.A well-marked capacity of regeneration is present
10.The cell has the same role for itself and the organism

Multicellular organism

1.Body is made up of numerous cells.
2.Division of labour may be at cellular, tissue, organ and organ system level.       It gives high degree of operational efficiency.
3.Different cells are specialized to perform different functions.
4.Only outer cells are specialized to face the environment. Inner cells are devoted to other functions.
5.Injury or death of some cells does not affect the organisms as the same can be replaced by new one.
6.A multicellular body can attain a large size increasing the number of SMALL cells.
7.Lifespan is long due to limited load of work for each cell type.
8.Certain specialized cells lose power of division.
