Shall we using induced chromosomal aberration to reverse the sterility of f1 hybrid? |
Answer» A DOSE-response analysis of chromosomal aberrations was performed in male progeny of gamma-irradiated males in the flour moth, Ephestia kuehniella. For comparison, several female progeny from each dose level were examined. Aberrations were detected on microspread preparations of pachytene nuclei in the electron microscope and classified according to PAIRING configurations of synaptonemal COMPLEXES (SCs). Fragmentation and various translocations were the most numerous aberrations, whereas interstitial deletion and inversion were rare. At 100 Gy, relatively simple multiple translocations were found. Multiple translocations showing complicated configurations occurred at 150 and 200 Gy, and their number increased with the dose. In males, the mean number of chromosomal breaks resulting in aberrations linearly increased with the dose from 8.4 to 16.2 per nucleus. In females, this value achieved a maximum of 11.2 breaks/nucleus at 200 Gy. Three factors were suggested to contribute to the reported higher level of F1 sterility in males than females: (i) SURVIVAL of males with high numbers of breaks, (ii) crossing-over in spermatogenesis but not in the achiasmatic oogenesis, and (iii) a higher impact of induced changes on the fertility of males than females. It was concluded that translocations are most responsible for the production of unbalanced gametes resulting in sterility of F1 moths. However, F1 sterility predicted according to the observed frequency of aberrations was much higher than the actual sterility reported earlier. This suggests a regulation factor which corrects the predicted unbalanced state towards balanced segregation of translocated chromosomes. hope it helps you please mark it as BRAINLIEST answer thanks

Describe the morphology of thallus, vegetative and sexual reproduction in Fucus with thehelp of clear and well labelled diagrams. |
Answer» The method of sexual reproduction is HETEROGAMOUS. The gametes are borne in oogonia and antheridia, which are produced in the conceptacles. In some SPECIES each conceptacle contains both oogonia and antheridia, in OTHERS there are distinct male and female conceptacles borne on TWO different thalli. |

How can we reverse the sterility of f1 hybrid? |
Answer» Hybrid birth combinations have also been researched for plants as well. In plants this occurs when there is SEXUAL reproduction between plants from TWO uncommon SPECIES. In some cases, hybrid fertility can be reversed also. For the case F1 hybrid stated above, it is POSSIBLE to reverse the fertility, it can be achieved through a technique called Nuclear encoded restorer. It applies to the male crop |

Critically examine the advantages and disadvantages of diffusion |
Answer» Diffusion: It is a process of movement of molecules from a high pressure region to low pressure region. Explanation: Advantages: 1)Diffusion doesn't NEED energy in the form of ATP. 2)Diffusion is good, as we light a stick of frangnance, it. spreads through out the room. 3)The gas in a LPG comes out due to diffusion, from high pressure to low pressure outside. Disadvantages: 1)Dirty smell can spread in air. 2)Cannot transfer in the form of liquid. 3)Harmful greenhouse gases are RISING to ozone layer, due to pressure DIFFERENCE between the air at the SURFACE of earth and at the ozone layr. They are degrading ozone layer. |

5 difference berween acid and base |
Answer» Answer: Comparison Chart BASIS FOR COMPARISON ACIDS BASES Arrhenius Concept Acid is the SUBSTANCE when dissolved in water, increases the concentration of H+ ions. The base is the substance when dissolved in water, increase the concentration of OH- ions. Bronsted-Lowry Concept Acids are the proton donor. Bases are the proton acceptor. Lewis Concept Such species that accepts the pair of ELECTRONS (an electrophile) and will have VACANT orbitals are known as Lewis acid. Such species that donates the pair of the electron (a nucleophile) and will have a lone pair of electrons are known as Lewis base. Chemical formula Such compound whose chemical formula begins with H, for example HCl (Hydrochloric acid), H3BO3 (Boric acid), CH2O3 (Carbonic acid). ALTHOUGH CH3COOH (Acetic acid) is an exception. Such compounds whose chemical formula ends with OH, for example KOH (Potassium hydroxide), NaOH (Sodium hydroxide). pH scale (concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution) Less than 7. Greater than 7. Physical Characteristics Sour in taste. Bitter in taste. Gives burning SENSATION. Odorless (except ammonia). Acids are usually sticky. Bases are slippery. Reacts with metals to produce hydrogen gas. Reacts with fats and oils. I hope it will helps you ❣️ |

Difine biosphere. What are two main functions of the biosphere |
Answer» Explanation: The continued functioning of the biosphere is dependent not only on the maintenance of the intimate interactions among the myriad species within LOCAL communities but also on the looser yet crucial interactions of all species and communities AROUND the globe. The Earth is blanketed with so many species and so many different kinds of biological communities because populations have been able to adapt to almost any kind of environment on Earth through natural selection. Life-forms have evolved that are able to survive in the ocean DEPTHS, the frigid conditions of Antarctica, and the near-boiling temperatures of geysers. The great RICHNESS of adaptations found among different populations and species of living organisms is the Earth’s greatest resource. It is a richness that has evolved over millions of YEARS and is irreplaceable. |

Write a short note on A. T. P |
Answer» Explanation: Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is a nucleotide used in cells as a coenzyme. It is often called the "molecular unit of currency": ATP transports chemical energy WITHIN cells for metabolism. Every cell uses ATP for energy. It consists of a base (adenine) and THREE phosphate GROUPS. ONE molecule of ATP contains three phosphate groups, and it is produced by ATP synthase from inorganic phosphate and adenosine diphosphate (ADP, the DI meaning two phosphate groups) or adenosine monophosphate (AMP). |
