What is the uses of resistivity

Answer» It is used in heater, oven etc
\tThe resistivity of a material is the resistance of a wire of that material of unit length and unit cross-sectional area. The unit for resistivity is the ohm-metre.\tThe resistivity of a material depends on its nature and the temperature of the conductor, but not on its shape and size.\tA good conductor has less resistivity, whereas a bad conductor or insulator has high resistivity.\tThe resistivity of semi-conductors lies between that of conductors and insulators. The resistivity of a metallic conductor increases with an increase in its temperature, whereas the resistivity of a semi-conductor decreases with an increase in its temperature.

Answer» Linear motion is the motion that is natural to an object: moving in a straight line. According to Newton s First Law of Motion, an object not affected by any force will continue indefinitely in a straight line.
43907.

What are the steps included in photosynthesis?

Answer» Very nice answer
Photosynthesis comprises two phases.Light-dependent reaction (or) Light reaction: Photosynthesis begins with the light reaction which is carried out only during the day in the presence of sunlight. In plants, the light-dependent reaction takes place in the thylakoid membranes of chloroplasts. The Grana, membrane-bound sacs like structures present inside the thylakoids functions by gathering light and is called as photosystems. These photosystems have large complexes of pigment and proteins molecules present within the plant cells which plays the primary role during the process of light reactions. There are two types of photosystems: photosystem I and photosystem II.Under the light-dependent reactions, the light energy is converted to ATP and NADPH which are used in the second phase of photosynthesis. During the light reactions, ATP and NADPH are generated by two electron transport chains, water is used and oxygen is produced. The chemical equation in the light reaction can be reduced to:\t2H2O + 2NADP+ + 3ADP + 3Pi → O2 + 2NADPH + 3ATP\tLight-independent reaction (or) Dark reaction.Dark reaction is also called carbon-fixing reaction. It is a light-independent process in which sugar molecules are formed from the water and carbon dioxide molecules. The dark reaction occurs in the stroma of the chloroplast where they utilize the NADPH and ATP products of the light reaction. Plants capture the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through stomata and proceed to the Calvin cycle. In the Calvin cycle, the ATP and NADPH formed during light reaction drive the reaction and convert 6 molecules of carbon dioxide into one sugar molecule or glucose. The chemical equation for the dark reaction can be reduced to:\t3CO2 + 6 NADPH + 5H2O + 9ATP → G3P + 2H+ + 6 NADP+ + 9 ADP + 8 Pi\t
4 steps... absorption of light energy by chlorophyll, conversion of light energy into chemical energy, splitting of water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, reduction of carbon dioxide to carbohydrates...

Why is magnesium ribbon is cleaned before burning??

Answer» To remove it\'s protective layer of basic oxide
If we want to burn a magnesium ribbon in an experiment, it has to be first cleaned with fine sandpaper or steel wool to remove all the oxide coating which may have been deposited on the ribbon by the reaction of magnesium with atmospheric oxygen. The ribbon if remains coated with oxide, it will not facilitate burning easily and desired results will not be obtained from the experiment.
Before burning,Magnesium ribbon is cleaned because to remove the basic oxide layer

Define single displacement reaction?

Answer» A single displacement reaction which is also called as single replacement reaction is a kind of oxidation-reduction chemical reaction when an ion or element moves out of a compound, i.e., one element is replaced by the other in a compound.\tWhen chlorine is added as a gas or gas dissolved in water to the solution of sodium bromide, the chlorine acquires the place of bromine. Since chlorine is more reactive than bromine, it displaces bromine from sodium bromide, and the solutions turn blue. The brown color is the bromine that is displaced. If you notice the equation, you can see that the Cl and Br have swapped their original places.\tchlorine + sodium bromide → sodium chloride + bromine\tCl2(aq) + 2NaBr(aq) → 2NaCl(aq) + Br2(aq)\t
