Public cleanliness is important for individual health ,comment |
| Answer» Public cleanliness is important for maintaining public health. It helps in preventing a large number of deadly diseases which are quite common under unhygeinic conditions.Public cleanliness should be practised everywhere inculding schools, workplaces, industries, home etc.In addition to frequent hand washing, schools should instruct teachers to educate students on the following hygiene practices:\tCover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing with a tissue.\tCough or sneeze into your sleeve when a tissues is unavailable.\tDispose of used tissues properly.\tWash hands regularly and thoroughly. For employees at work places, hand sanitizers are an effective cleaning tool, killing 99.9% of most common germs. Transportation system define with diagram |
| Answer» The human circulatory system functions to transport blood and oxygen from the lungs to the various tissues of the body. The heart pumps the blood throughout the body. ... The components of the human circulatory system include the heart, blood, red and white blood cells, platelets, and the lymphatic system. | |
| 50161. |
Transportation system define with digram |
| Answer» Transportation in Human Beings:Blood is a red coloured liquid which circulates in our body. It is red because it contains a pigment called haemoglobin in its red cells. Our Pump – the heart:The heart is roughly triangular in shape. It has four compartments called chambers inside it. The upper two chambers of the heart are called atria and the lower two chambers are called ventricles. The atria receive blood from the two main veins. The left atrium is connected to the left ventricle through a valve V1 and the right atrium is connected to the right ventricle through another valve V2. These valves prevent the backflow of blood into atria when the ventricles contract to pump blood out of the heart to the rest of the body because when the ventricles contract, the valves V1 and V2 close automatically so that the blood may not go back into the atria. The job of heart is to pump blood around our body. All the atria and ventricles of the heart contract and relax at appropriate times and make the heart behave like a pump. A sheath of tissue called pericardium protects the muscular heart.\xa0Blood vessels:Arteries are the vessels which carry blood away from the heart to various organs of the body. Since the blood emerges from the heart under high pressure, the arteries have thick, elastic walls. Veins collect the blood from different organs and bring it back to the heart. They do not need thick walls because the blood is no longer under pressure, instead they have valves that ensure that the blood flows only in one direction. On reaching an organ or tissue, the artery divides into smaller and smaller vessels to bring the blood in contact with all the individual cells, called capillaries.\xa0Lymphatic system: A system of tiny tubes called lymph vessels (lymphatics) and lymph nodes (lymph glands) in the human body which transports the liquid called lymph from the body tissues to the blood circulatory system is called lymphatic system. | |

What is cutaneous respiration. |
| Answer» Cutaneous respiration is the respiration or gas exchange carried through skin.in some vertebrates the body surface has become highly vascularized for gaseous exchange. Such exchange is of particular importance in the class Amphibia, where mucous glands in the skin maintain a moist respiratory surface; and in the soft-shelled turtles.Frog skin has mucous producing glands that help keep it moist.\xa0Frogs\xa0also depends on cutaneous respiration for their oxygen supply. In this method of respiration, oxygen from the air is drawn into a frog\'s body by the blood vessels that lie close to the skin.\xa0Waste gas and carbon dioxide are also released the same way.\xa0In order for all the transfer to take place, frog\'s skin must be moist. | |

Difference between alloy and amalgam. |
|
Answer» Combinations of different metals form alloys. An alloy composed by mercury and other metal (or metals) forms amalgam. When a true alloy is formed, the component metals are mixed together at a temperature which is greater than the melting point of all of them. Then, after having been mixed thoroughly in its fully liquid state, the mixture is allowed to solidify by cooling at a controlled rate.By contrast, in an amalgamation process, bits of solid metal, which may themselves be of either pure metal or an alloy, are mixed together with a liquid metal at a temperature which is below the melting point of the solid component(s). (And in the case of dental amalgam, where mercury is used as the liquid metal amalgamating agent, this process is normally performed at room temperature. Amalgam is the alloy of mercury.... Alloy - is a homogenus mixture of two or more elements like fe+cr=stainless steel Amalgam is an alloy of mercury. |

What is neuron and its functions? |
| Answer» Neurons are nerve cells which are the functional units of the nervous system. The three main parts of a neuron are dendrite, cell body and axon.Functioning of its three parts.Dendrite: It detect information and conducts the messages towards the cell body.Cell body: It contains nucleus, mitochondria, and other cell organelles. It maintains the growth of the cell.Axon: It conducts messages away from the cell body and pass to the next neuron. | |

Differentiate between combination and decomposition |
|
Answer» Combination reaction:-It is a chemical reaction in which two or more reactants combine with each other to form a new single product. It releases heat during the chemical reaction. This means that it is exothermic .Examples :-1) 2H₂ + O₂ ---->2H₂O 2) 2Mg + O₂ --->2MgODecomposition reaction:-It is a chemical reaction in which one reactant breaks down into simpler compounds. It absorbs heat from the surroundings during the chemical reaction.IN other words , it is endothermic .Examples :-CaCO₃ ===> CaO + CO₂2H₂O ===> 2H₂ + O₂ In combination reaction, 2 or more compounds combine together to form a new substance whereas in decomposition reaction, single compound splits up into 2 or more substance... |

Why clear sky look like blue |
|
Answer» The scattering of blue components of the white sunlight by air molecules present in the atmosphere causes the blue colour of the sky The shorter wavelength blue light is however scattered all around the sky by air molecules in the atmosphere.since we see the blue light from everywhere overhead the sky looks blue Thnx This phenomenon is called scattering of light... The molecules of air and other fine particles in the atmosphere have a size smaller than the wavelength of visible light. Thus, they are more effective in scattering light of shorter wavelengths at the blue end than light of longer wavelengths at the red end. Red light has a wavelength greater than blue light. Thus, when sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the fine particles in air scatter blue colour (shorter wavelengths) more strongly than red. The scattered blue light enters our eyes. |

Why galvanized iron articles do not rust even if zinc layer is broken? |
| Answer» A galvanized substance is coated with a layer of zinc to delay corrosion. Zinc gets corroded itself, instead of the substance. The outer layer of zinc reacts with the atmospheric oxygen to form Zinc Oxide (ZnO), which is stronger than Zinc. Zinc is more reactive than iron and can be easily oxidised. When the zinc layer breaks down, zinc continues to react and gets oxidised and hence the article is protected against rusting. | |

Describe the nutrition in amoeba |
| Answer» Nutrition in Amoeba:The mode of nutrition in amoeba is holozoic.Nutrition in amoeba involves the following steps(i) Ingestion – Amoeba has no mouth for ingestion of food. It ingests the food by using its pseudopodia. The food is engulfed with little water to form a food vacuole.(ii) Digestion – The food is digested by digestive enzymes present in the cytoplasm which breaks the food into small soluble molecules by chemical reactions.(iii) Absorption – The digested food is absorbed directly into the cytoplasm by diffusion. The digested food spreads out from the food vacuole into the whole cell and after absorption the food vacuole disappears.(iv) Assimilation – Food is used to obtain energy through respiration and the remaining part of the food is used for growth.(v) Egestion – The undigested food collects inside the cell and the cell membrane ruptures. Through this, the undigested food is thrown out of the body. | |
