What is Mendeleev limitations |
|
Answer» \tNo fixed position could be assigned to hydrogen in the Periodic Table.\tIsotopes discovered long after Mendeléev periodic classification of\telements imparted a challenge to Mendeleev’s Periodic Law.\tThe atomic masses of elements did not increase in a steady manner while going from one element to other which made it difficult to predict the number of elements that could be discovered between two elements. 1 he did not give the place to isotopes. 2.no fixed position for hydrogen.3 .wrong order of atomic mass. |

What is thermite teaction |
| Answer» The thermite reaction is the reaction of metal oxide with the aluminium. The aluminium acts as a reducing agent and the reaction is highly exothermic and hence called a thermite reaction. The aluminium reduces the oxide of another metal, most of the times, it is iron oxide (FeO) because aluminium is highly reactive. The reaction involved can be shown as:Fe2O3 + 2Al → 2Fe + Al2O3 | |

Why why the sun appears reddish during sunrise and sunset |
|
Answer» The basic phenomenon here is scattering of light.Rest u can find the answer everywhere, whether reference or on quora, brainly and other such sites. Sun is at the farthest distance during sunset and sunrise.the white light from the sun gets scattered as it travels towrds the earth. The blue colour gets scattered the most, the lightreaching teh eye has white light minus blue light scattered away. red light which is relativley less scattered reaches us the max. hence the sun appears red. |

What is atomic mass ? and what is atomic number? |
| Answer» Atomic Number\tThe total number of protons in the nucleus of an atom gives us the atomic number of that atom.\tIt is represented with the letter ‘Z.’\tAll the atoms of a particular element have the same number of protons, and hence the same atomic number.\tAtoms of different elements have different atomic numbers.\tFor example, all carbon atoms have the atomic number of 6, whereas all atoms of Oxygen have 8 protons in their nucleus.Mass Number\tThe number of protons and neutrons combined to give us the mass number of an atom.\tIt is represented using the letter ‘A.’\tAs both protons and neutrons are present in the nucleus of an atom, they are together called nucleons.\tFor example, an atom of carbon has 6 protons and 6 neutrons. Thus, its mass number is 12.\tWhile the number of protons remains the same in all atoms of an element, the number of neutrons can vary. Thus, atoms of the same element can have different mass numbers, and these are called isotopes.\xa0 | |

Sun appears reddish early in the morning and evening why |
| Answer» Light from the Sun near the horizon passes through a thicker layer of air and a larger distance in the Earth’s atmosphere before reaching our eyes. However, light from the Sun overhead has to travel a lesser distance. At noon, the Sun appears whitish or yellowish as only little blue and violet light are scattered. However, near the horizon, most of the blue light and shorter wavelengths are scattered. Thus, the Sun appears reddish in colour during sunrise or sunset. | |

Design an experiment to show that chlorophyll is essential for photosynthesis |
| Answer» Aim of the experiment:-To prove that chlorophyll pigment in green leaves is necessary for the plants to prepare their carbohydrate (starch) food.Requirements for the experiment:-A well watered variegated leaf plant, beaker, water, Bunsen burner, mentholated spirit or rectified spirit or ethanol, iodine solution, a white porcelain tile.Procedure for the experiments:-A variegated leaf plant is taken for this particular experiment to prove the necessity of chlorophyll for photosynthesis. A variegated leaf is a leaf in which different patches of colors are present in a Croton or Coleus or Geranium plant. The place where green patches are present in the leaf, chlorophyll pigment is present while at the other color patches present in the leaf contain other pigments but not chlorophyll. Before starting the experiment to prove chlorophyll is necessary for photosynthesis an important step has to be carried out is known as De-starching. De-starching is a step in which the starch present in the leaves of the plant will be removed by keeping the variegated leaves plant in a dark room or closed cup-board for about 48 hours. This step is done to ensure that previously synthesized starch in the leaves get consumed up because photosynthesis doesn\'t occur at that time as the plant is kept in dark place. After De-starching step the variegated leaf plant is kept in bright sunlight for about 6 hours. After this one of the variegated leaf is plucked out from the experimental plant. Then Iodine test is conducted for this experimental leaf to find out whether the leaf prepared starch through photosynthesis or not. | |

How many typeof charge and how they are created |
| Answer» There are two types of electric charge: positive charge and negative charge. When you rub your feet against the carpet, negative charge is transferred to you from the carpet. The carpet will then become positively charged by the same amount.Another example is to take two neutral objects such as a plastic ruler and a cotton cloth (handkerchief). To begin, the two objects are neutral (i.e. have the same amounts of positive and negative charge). | |

Give function of etylene |
| Answer» Following are the important function of ethylene:Growth: Ethylene stimulates horizontal growth and the swelling of the axis. It inhibits the growth in the longitudinal direction.Gravity : It reduces the sensitivity to gravity. The stems become positively geotropic and the leaves and flowers undergo drooping.Senescence: It speeds up the senescence of flowers and leaves.Abscission: Ethylene stimulates the abscission of flowers, leaves, fruits and other parts of the plant. It helps in the formation of hydrolases.Apical Dominance: It prolongs dormancy of lateral buds and promotes apical dominance.Breaking Dormancy: It breaks the dormancy of seeds, buds and storage organs.Ripening of Fruit: Ethylene induces artificial ripening of climacteric fruits such as banana, mango, apple, etc. | |
