Wisdom is what life and its experiences teach us. Being wise is not the same as being intelligent. It is about much more than just the skills and mastery of a subject. In fact, wisdom is about human virtues, that makes us different from other animal species. These virtues are developing empathy, having compassion and kindness, becoming more self-aware of our thoughts, emotions, and feelings.

Wisdom and Knowledge

The difference between the two is very subtle. HOWEVER, if put into simpler words, it is not that difficult to understand either. One can gain knowledge and know what is right and wrong, what is healthy and what is unhealthy, how to perform a task, how to drive, how to cook. All these things can be learned and specialized in. But, the ability to decide what is right and what is wrong, the capacity to choose the right and skip the wrong, comes from wisdom.

In another way, the ability to USE the learned knowledge in the best and most ethical way is called wisdom. Knowing how to use the knowledge is wisdom. Knowledge can be given but wisdom cannot. Knowledge can be learned but wisdom can only be attained.

An example would be the best way to understand the concepts deeply. So, for INSTANCE, all kinds of thoughts, whether positive or negative, healthy or toxic, happy or sad COME to our mind. We feel them and know that these feelings are a very natural part of human beings. This is knowledge. But understanding, observing, and staying aware and detached of these thoughts requires wisdom. Wisdom takes us to a much HIGHER level and answers the riddle of why we are feeling in a particular way and whether we should act on those feelings or not. That judgment call depends on our wisdom.

There have been many philosophical, religious, and educational versions and definitions of wisdom and knowledge. Nonetheless, all lead to the same conclusion. Everybody knows and has been taught about the right way of living but not all can do it really. That is where a fine demarcation comes between knowledge and wisdom. To be able to apply the knowledge, to be able to think, and acknowledge why things are the way they are, makes us wise.

Thus, it is only through wisdom that we begin to behave beyond the petty attributes like self-obsession, jealousy, anger and instead, learn to grow as a human being filled with compassion, empathy, acceptance, and love for all.

Life: City-life is full of glamour and is very fascinating. There are MAGNIFICENT multi storied buildings, broad roads, shopping malls, multiplexes, electric light, etc. In large cities, there are mills, factories and industries too. All these dazzle the eyes of newcomers to the city. Here, there is novelty in everything. The dress of the people is different, the habits are different, and there is difference in MANNERS and speech also. Even the daily routine of life is different. People spend their evening in a PARK, a library, a shopping mall, or a cinema hall. From time to time circus, dramatic parties and exhibitions visit the city and provide diversion to the people. Then there are football, tennis and cricket matches, public meetings, speeches by eminent PERSONS, etc. all these are entirely ABSENT in villages. In the midst of all these, the city-people lose their soul. They turn into something like a machine. They exist merely to each and to spend.

I'm Bonny.I BELONG to a family of five.It comprises of a teen-ager girl,her parents,her grandmother and a family friend,a doctor who seems to be a paying guest in the family.Everyone LOVES me very much.I'm free to go to any corner of the house and allowed to do any sort of pranks I  choose.My  food-habit is a bit different.Unlike other dogs,I enjoy raw vegetables,such as peas,carrots,ladies-finger and fruits like apple,pear etc.
         The only thing I'm afraid of is a stray dog on the road.Whenever I go out for a WALK,some loafer-dogs show unnecessary interest in me ! But,their very appearance and repulsive body-odour creat a panic in me.May be, I'm lucky enough to get people like these who look so well after me.But,at the same time ,I can't deny that I've become a delicate-darling by this endless pampering.
           I become sad when I see a DISPUTE in the family.I simply can't understand why human BEINGS quarrel with each other.They don't fight like us,but the way they talk to each other in anger is worse than that.Can't they live in peace?
          Anyway,this is my story.Very ordinary and insignificant,isn't it?But,beleive me,I'm happy in this small world of mine !

Animals can be of GREAT importance in the human life. First of all, animals provide humans with food for example cows and CHICKEN. Secondly they can be used for protection for example dogs and also to aid the handicapped. Animals like horses and donkeys are used as a means of TRANSPORTATION and for recreation activities like racing. Lastly, animals can be used as companions to humans. They are known as PETS and most people value them so much such that they even end up giving them a respectful burial in a pet cemetery after they die. Each of us has a dream about our FUTURE. People think that there is always a life change and there is no permanent thing in this world. Until, as we grow older we realized that life is a learning process; every time we lose there is always a reason to stand up. Challenges happens for a reason to MAKE us a better person, we should keep in mind that not all the experiences are good there is always bad experiences even the things happened must frustrate us but later on it inspires us to keep on going and fight all the barriers we face of. 6. I like Japan. The crime is quite low there. When I fly to Japan, I usually fly to the Narita Airport. The last time I was in Japan, I climbed the Mount Fuji. It was fun. I am tall. Japanese are generally shorter than I am.

An incident is a particular event happened with someone. Incidents may be of many types. This is a childhood incident that happened in my childhood time.



This incident of my childhood has been narrated by my mother because at that time I was too young to capture those wonderful memories.

This event happened with me when I was just three years old. The weather was cool with sunny day. It was Thursday my father was leaving for office. I was playing with my toys as usual inside my house. After my mother saw off my father for office, she started to talk with our neighbour for short while.

I was feeling very natural with my usual daily routine of playing, unfortunately something came in mind that I, by mistake locked the MAIN entrance door of my house. It was also a part of my free attitude. Till then everything was normal and felt no any problem. But After that my mother was about for entering inside the house then she found the door was at locked condition. She went to another door of my house, there again she noticed that the other door was also at closed STATE. She fell fully in tension because she knew that I was inside the house.

She was in bad temper and was out of her control. Her temper level was also going higher and higher. She started to shout. Because of her shouting I also became afraid and I also started to shout.

She didn’t knew that what to do then? Nothing was coming in her mind. She started crying when she looked from the window the live Iron (press iron for clothe). But she even then thought an idea to guide me for opening the door; which I closed. She tried every thing to teach me the door opening steps, but I was too young to get those steps of opening the door. Then my mother's eye was filled with tear at that time I became afraid and felt that perhaps I was in big trouble. Then I tried to put out my little leg from the narrow opening between the door and the door wall. Sometimes I was raising my hand sometimes my leg and sometimes I was looking through the door small holes. I then started crying mummy! mummy! mummy!.......... mummy!

Within TWENTY minutes all my neighbour were standing in front of my house and everyone was trying to open the door. After half an hour they concluded that the door must be broken. But my mother was in big trouble and was telling that my daughter might become very much afraid with this activity. Then what happened my mother thought a beautiful trick, she started hitting the door ; which has top side shutter. Her idea was very nice after 30 SECONDS the shutter fell down and the door got opened. I rush with big happiness and jumped into my mother's lap and hold her very much tightly. This event was very much close to my heart. This incident of my childhood put to feel me about my mother's love towards me. I usually request my mom to tell this event. I also shared this event of my childhood with close friends. I also wrote essays about this incident and shared to my family and class 6 students. They enjoyed this very much.

The TONE of the POEM is STRONG.

In this story narrator describes his grandmother as old woman.

People said that she had once been young and beautiful but according to author her grandmother had been old ever since he had seen her the author could not imagine her as a child or as a young and beautiful lady. For him she was his grandmother, a woman who had been always old and never young. She was short, fat and slightly BENT. Her face was a full of wrinkles . Narrator maintains that she was beautiful because she was kind, WARM, loving, attentive and caring.

was STRONG woman in character and was very religious too. She was always dressed in a spotless white dress. In his CHILDHOOD years, the narrator lived with his grandmother. He describes her as a good friend. She would wake him up on school days and prepare him a simple breakfast .She had a sympathetic attitude towards animals . She carried several stale chapattis with her for the village dogs . When she was in village she used to feed dogs but as and when she came to the city she started feeding the sparrows. She was a religious woman , as she spend her time in temple in reading the scriptures .She was a woman who love her traditions and culture. With her one hand, she was always telling the beads of her rosary. She spent most of her time reading the holy books whether at home or in the temple. She spent her time in spinning wheel and reciting her prayers also. She never omitted to sing her prayers. She did not like the western learning by his grandson .She was also against learning of music .She was left alone when narrator WENT abroad but she passed her time with spinning feeding sparrows and reciting prayers .She felt happy when narrator came back after a long time. She made her ill by beating the drum in happiness .She was so devoted to religion that in her last times she pray. She was a lady to the last .
