What are the qualities of alec? Which quality of alec do you admire the most?THE STORM LESSON WALTER FARLEY

Answer»

When it comes to admired things, we usually found ourselves craving for money, glamorous cars, LOVELY holidays, pretty faces, or luxurious houses. Among a long list of many other desirable things. But what do we envy when it comes to people? What are those traits that we aim the most when we find them in others?

Well. Admiration is described as a human emotion elicited by people of competency, talent, or skill exceeding common standards. And despite what may seem, it is not wealthy people with glamorous cars, lovely holidays, pretty faces, or luxurious houses what attract us the most (although very tempting). When it comes to admiration, as this action motivating self-improvement by observing and appreciating the abilities of our role models, these are the top 10 characteristics that we highlight the most:

1. Humility

Understood as the ABILITY to accept and love ourselves the way we are, without pretensions. Without hiding not the flaws, neither the blessings. With a full understanding of our own strengths and weaknesses. Humility, as is often thought, is not about a low view of ONE’s IMPORTANCE or poor living standards. Humility is about self-awareness and self-management.

Write an essay on : What will happen if trees would talk(200 words)

Answer»

ANSWER:

wonder what the trees would say, if they could talk.

I think that they would be sad. They would be angry. They would be disappointed, but somehow compassionate. The trees would be forgiving, which is surely SADDEST of all.

Trees have to watch while we cut down their friends. We do not stand tall, not like trees, but we stand strong. We STOMP our feet and demand attention. Humans, merciless monsters, plow down such beautiful things, and all for what? A little more elbow room?

Surely, they weep. Perhaps that is what happens in autumn. Perhaps when the trees shed their leaves, they are weeping for all they have lost, all they have been unjustly robbed of. And we just watch them wail. We watch them mourn and we think that it’s beautiful.

People are destroyers at heart. We riot through life with torches and pitchforks in our hands, leaving BONES and fire and rotting flesh in our wake. It is a shame that the trees feel this gratuitous wrath. If trees could speak, if they could move, they would riot right back. Broken shrieks of despair and fury would erupt from their throats. We were here first, they would say. You haven’t the right, they would say. And after all we have done for you, they would say. Their branches would blaze with fire, rage dancing in the FLAMES. They would trample us; they would win. I would be glad when they won.

What did the ordinary people feel about the flights of hot air balloon in 18 century France?pls answer to this question it urgent

Answer»

In November of 1782, Joseph Montgolfier, a French manufacturer of paper BEGAN to wonder if rising smoke might be used to carry a balloon aloft. With his brother Etienne, he experimented, and by June 1783, the brothers Montgolfier built a balloon made of silk and lined with paper that was 33 feet in diameter. They launched it, unmanned, from the marketplace in Annonay, France. The balloon rose 5,200-6,600 feet and stayed aloft for ten minutes. History was made.

Word of their success quickly spread. The French king, Louis XVI, who was known to dabble in science and a great friend of Benjamin Franklin, desired a demonstration.

For this flight, the Montgolfier brothers constructed a balloon about 30 feet in diameter made of taffeta and coated with a varnish of alum for fireproofing. The balloon was decorated with golden flourishes, zodiac signs, and suns symbolizing King Louis XVI.

On September 19, 1783, the brothers made an unmanned flight before a crowd of 130,000 at Versailles, including King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette. This flight was also unmanned. The next step, of course, would be a MANNED flight.

The first balloon flight with humans aboard, a tethered flight, was performed in October 1783 by Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier, a French chemistry and physics teacher, and the Marquis François d’Arlandes, a French military officer. Mindful of the dangers, Louis XVI wanted to use prisoners, but de Rozier persuaded the king to let him and the marquis have that honor. The flight was successful.

About a month later, in November 1783, de Rozier and the d’Arlandes made the first free ascent in a balloon, flying from the center of Paris to the suburbs, a trouble-free journey of two hours

Benjamin Franklin, the diplomatic representative of America, then in France, witnessed the balloon taking off and wrote in his journal:

We observed it lift off in the most majestic manner. When it reached around 250 feet in altitude, the intrepid voyagers LOWERED their hats to salute the spectators. We could not help feeling a certain mixture of awe and admiration.
The Montgolfiers believed they had discovered a new GAS (which they called Montgolfier gas) that was lighter than air and caused the inflated balloons to rise. In fact, the gas was merely air, which became more buoyant as it was heated. The balloon rose because the air within was lighter and less dense than the surrounding atmosphere, which pushed against the bottom of the balloon.

The limitations of using air were soon realized. As the air cooled, the balloon was forced to descend. Keeping a fire burning meant the risk of sparks setting the bag on fire. Other methods were explored, including hydrogen.

On December 1, 1783, Jacques Alexandre César Charles launched a balloon containing hydrogen from the Jardin DES Tuileries in Paris before vast crowds.

Jacques Charles and his co-pilot, Nicolas-Louis Robert, ascended to a height of about 1,800 feet and landed at sunset after a flight of just over 2 hours. It is believed 400,000 spectators witnessed the launch. Hundreds paid one crown each to help finance the construction and receive access to a “special enclosure” for a close-up view of the lift off. Among the “special enclosure” crowd was Benjamin Franklin, who had become quite a fan of the aerostatic globes, as he called them. In my new Georgian novel, Echo in the Wind, this new love of Franklin’s is remembered and his thoughts at the time recalled

Answer»

Answer:

Once upon a time, there were four FRIENDS. They were studying in a Gurukul (college).

Out of four, one of their friends didn’t score well in his exams. Sometimes the three intelligent friends MADE fun of the fourth friend for his FEWER score.

After completing their college, the three intelligent friends thought to show their knowledge to the outside world. So they packed their things and set out. They included the fourth friend, on his request.

The three friends were discussing their skills while crossing the forest.

The first friend saw some bones under a tree, he told his friends that he can turn these broken bones into a skeleton and then he chanted and convert those bones to a skeleton. The bones belonged to a lion.

When the second friend saw the skeleton, he told the other friends that I can fill the flesh and blood in this skeleton, and then he chanted and filled that lion skeleton with flesh and blood.

This time the third friend thought to show off his knowledge. He said I can GIVE life to this lion body.

The fourth friend, who was observing this from a distance, got shocked to hear their conversation. He interrupted the other three friends and said it’s not a good idea to give life to a wild creature. If he will get alive then he won’t spare any of us.

The three intelligent friends mocked at the fourth and they said “You are jealous of us, because you don’t know anything “. We are the creator of this lion. So how can he harm us?

The fourth friend pleaded the three friends to not use their knowledge in giving life to a lion, but the three friends did not listen, instead they asked the fourth friend to leave.

The fourth friend quickly climbed to a very tall tree, and then the third friend recited chant. Next moment a giant lion was in front of them.

The lion was very hungry and he ROARED and attacked on three friends.

The lion killed all the three friends, but the fourth friend was alive because of his common sense.

Write an email to your friend asking him why he hasn't written to you recently paragraph

Answer»

EXPLANATION:

HI John,

How are you? It's been ages since we last spoke. I hope everything is going well.

Sorry, I haven't been in contact recently. I've been meaning to write to you for the last couple of months, but I just haven't got round to doing it. Sorry for my laziness.

What have you been up to lately? I remember you telling me that you were thinking about moving house. Did you do it or are you still living in the same place?

I don't know if you've heard, but since the last time we spoke I left my job. I'm now working at Omega in Manchester. It's a similar job to what I had before, but I have more responsibility (and more hours unfortunately) and the pay is better (which is nice). Are you still working at Tyson or have you changed too?

I've also bought a new car (a Honda Civic). You know how I don't like to spend money, but I had to buy a new car after the car I had (the blue Ford escort) kept breaking down. The last time it happened, I was in the middle of the nowhere. I had to wait for 2 hours until the break down service arrived!

Apart from that, nothing much has changed. I'm still living in the same house in Sheffield and still going trekking in the mountains every other weekend.

A funny thing happened to me and Julia when we were in trekking in Wales about 2 months ago. We were walking up Snowden when it suddenly started to snow. I thought that it wouldn't last for long, so we continued going up. But it did and it got a lot worse. So we decided to turn back and return to the car.

Unfortunately, when we eventually got back to the car, we couldn't move it because of the snow. After an hour of trying to dig it out, it still wouldn't move. At that point, we had to decide whether we'd stay in the car the night or walk back to the nearest village, which was 10 miles away. We decided to walk to the village.

It took us over THREE hours to walk to the village. As you can imagine, Julia wasn't happy. She blamed me for everything and refused to talk to me for most of the journey. An interesting weekend to SAY the least.

In summer (so fortunately no snow!) we're planning to go to the Pyrenees in Spain for a week. You've been there, haven't you? Have you got any suggestions of places which we should visit when we are over there?

Are you still going to watch Leeds United? They are not having a good season this year. But that's nothing new!

Have you heard anything from Jeff? I was thinking the other day about when we all went to London for the weekend. Do you remember how drunk he was on the SATURDAY? You had to take him back to the hotel in a taxi and put him to bed. Always trouble, but such a nice guy.

We really should meet up some time. Go out for a few drinks at the pub? Let me know if you fancy it.

Anyway, I have to get back to doing some work.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Take care,

Bill

P.S. Julia gives her love

What was special about the brinjal plants in Sri Krishna Devraya's garden?

Answer»

Answer:

Sri Krishna Devaraya was the emperor of Vizayanagra. He had eight advisors.  Tenali Rama was one among them.  He was very clever and SPONTANEOUS.  Sri Krishna Devaraya had some special kind of brinjal plants in his garden.  The brinjal was very rare kind and curry made out of it was very tasty which was loved by the emperor.  As it was a rare kind, the garden was very guarded and no one was allowed to view the plants without the emperor’s permission.

Once the emperor had arranged dinner for his advisors and the brinjal curry was served.  Tenali Rama had enjoyed the brinjal curry very much and went home.  But he was unable to forget the taste.  He told his wife about the taste of curry.  Tenali Rama’s wife also liked brinjal curry, she asked Tenali Rama to bring few brinjals so that she can prepare a curry.  But Tenali Rama knew that the emperor was taking extreme care about the Brinjal plants and he can easily detect a missing of even one brinjal from his garden. And, the emperor will punish such thief if caught stealing a brinjal from his garden.

But Tenali’s wife pleaded him to bring a brinjal from the garden without telling anybody.  Tenali Rama had no choice other than stealing a brinjal from the emperor’s garden. One night he went to the garden, jumped the wall and plucked few brinjals from the garden.  By the god’s grace, no one had seen him.  His wife cooked the brinjals and the curry was very tasty. Like all the mothers, she too loved her son very much and wanted to serve a brinjal curry him. But Tenali Rama asked her not to do such thing because if their son reveals to anybody that he had a rare brinjal curry, then they may get caught and get punished for stealing a brinjal from the garden.

But his wife did not agree.  She wanted to serve the curry to her son.  She was unable to eat the curry alone without serving her little kid who was sleeping after doing his homework on the roof of their house.  She asked Tenali Rama to find a way so that their son can also taste the brinjal curry.  Tenali Rama also loved his son, so he thought of an idea and with a lot of hesitation went on to the roof to wake up his child with a bucket of water and poured the water on the child. When the child woke up he said “It is raining.  Let’s go inside the house and have a dinner”.  After going inside the room he changed the CLOTHES of his son and gave him the rice and brinjal curry for the dinner. Tenali Rama told his wife loudly that “it was raining outside, and let the boy sleep in the room”.

And the next day, the emperor came to know that few brinjals were missing in his garden.  The Gardener who kept the count of each vegetable and flower found that the three brinjals were missing. It became a challenging issue for the emperor and took it very seriously.  He declared a reward for the person who can catch the thief.  Chief advisor Appaji suspected that only Tenali Rama was CAPABLE of doing such things. And they told the emperor about it.  The emperor sent his courtiers and asked Tenali Rama to come immediately. Once Tenali Rama came he asked him about the missing brinjals. Then Tenali Rama told, “I was not aware of the missing brinjals”.  Then the chief advisor told “Tenali Rama was lying. Let’s enquire his son”.

The king sent his courtiers to bring Tenali Rama’s son. Once his son came, He was asked what vegetable he had in the dinner last night. The child replied, “The brinjal curry and it was very tasty”.  Then the advisor told Tenali Rama that He needs to accept his CRIME.  But Tenali Rama said his son had slept very early and he might be saying something which he got in his dream.

So the emperor asked the little kid that “can you please explain clearly what had you done yesterday after coming from the SCHOOL?”

Tenali Rama’s son replied that “yesterday after coming from the school, I played for some time and after that, I went on to the roof, did my homework, and slept on the roof.  But when the rain started, my father came and woke me up.  By that time my dress was fully wet, then we went inside, had the dinner and slept again”.

The chief advisor Appaji was shocked because there was no rain at all yesterday. And the atmosphere was fully dry. So they thought the kid had a dream and freed Tenali Rama without any punishment.  However, later Tenali Raman told the truth to the emperor and was pardoned by the emperor for his clever witty idea.
