It seems some time ago I uninstalled SPYBOT from my computer, not entirely certain why. I've also cleaned the ball and such of the mouse, and it's running a bit better. There's only been one incident in the past few days of the mouse freezing. (few days being, since I cleaned it out and updated and all that.) So, it's back at a tolerable level, but it's been fine before, only to START being an extreme bother a few days later on other occasions too.Famous last words: "I don't have Spyware, I use Norton" (or any other singular product) |

I helped take care of things around the house for my wife as she had much work to do in the evenings to prepare for work. What you ask is a good question, Raptor! and one i've asked God about myself. Why doesn't God make Himself so obvious He cannot be ignored? One answer may be that it doesn't accomplish His purpose, which is to save as many of us from *censored* as will allow Him. God's answer to your question may be, "I did great miracles, but still the people for whom I did the miraculous turned their backs on me." Another answer may be that God DOES do miracles today. These miraculous events may be more subtle, but not less real. For example, i live in an area that has frequent tornadoes (Indiana). A few years ago, one such tornado touched down in the middle of this states' second largest city. It crossed a busy street, ripped through a parking lot turning over cars, and lifted off the ground just seconds before it hit a crowded movie theater. Back at home, i and my youngest son were praying in our basement, that the tornado that was reported on the radio would not harm anyone. We had no idea we were praying for my wife and oldest son. They were in the movie theater watching the movie Shrek. Her van, which was parked in the parking lot where other cars were picked up and dropped, was even unharmed. The tornado also trashed several small businesses and ripped the roof off a large nursing home for the elderly. However, as my son and i asked God, no one was hurt. To me, that is a miracle that is obvious. It is one that is documented, for anyone may read of the tornado in a copy of a Fort Wayne, Indiana newspaper in a local library. However, perhaps the greatest miracle is that God cares for any of us at all. Before i knew Him i asked why He had forsaken me. Now i wonder why He cares for me at all, since, in my worst moments, i still forsake Him in thought, word or deed. Why do for unfaithful me what i myself would never do for someone? Why did the Father allow His one and only Son to suffer for me? Why do this so that i may live with Him forever? It is beyond reason. It is beyond question that His love for me is beyond anything i am capable of expressing to Him in return. If you are willing to look into the historical evidence, you will find it too overwhelming to ignore. That a dead guy really did get up and walk is the best documented historical fact in ancient history. There is more evidence supporting the life, accomplishments, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ than there is evidence supporting the life, accomplishments and death of Julius Caesar. But no one would seriously doubt what we know of this Roman ruler. Why not examine the evidence of Christ and make an educated decision? Regards, Doc |

I have a DELL server at home that is connected to the internet. How do I make my server a proxy server and how do I access it from the outside world?Well there internet is running through there server. For you to connect to your server it still has to go through there server meaning firewall would probally prevent you from doing this, especially when they are afraid of catching viruses and spyware. The best WAY to deal with this is hope you are wirless and steal a wirless CONNECTION from somewhere else. |

Apparently i did not get any updates. the av has almost a month to run. has ANYONE had a similar experience. walt.NAV will usually warn 30 days prior to subscription expiration. If it has not yet expired, just continue with the update.Be aware of many people having problem with Norton 2005 with WIN98. You may want totry a safer and free solution. Solve : computer refuses to come out of standby? |

Answer» My daughters computer would not come out of standby so she tried to turn it of with the power button and it wouldn't do that either so she cut it's power. When she tries to reboot now all that happens is the fan comes on and the cd rom drive lights flash for a sec then thats it. The thinking light does not flash at all. ..and the screen stays dark.. NOTE 2: I started keeping my tower horizontal about 2 months ago (vs. vertical) If you lay it over the wrong way all it's gizmos could fall out. Make sure evrything in side is plugged in. Cards & ram etc)Have you tried Ctrl+Alt+Delete? This will give you a screen with a bunch of choices. Try looking at your task manager to see what is running. When you Ctrl+Alt+Delete 3 times it will reboot your computer. I once had a problem, I talked to a GUY at Best Buy. He told me that with the task manager has an option and it will ask "What do you want the Computer to do?" Click on that and take it out of the "Standby"mode. (My computer was stuck running in Safemode). He talked me right through the problem. When all else fails, Best Buy has a team of Computer Doctors. They are not cheap, but they have diagnostic computers to tell you what is the problem. I hope this helps. Good luck!!! Lisa Anton |

Answer» Hi, Uninstall and reinstall drivers is the first thought. Make sure the video card is firmly seated in the slot. Pull it out and put it back in. If this doesn't help, post back. I tried to do the drivers yesterday with no change. Video card is firmly seated. It's also getting worse- I can turn on the computer for about 2 minutes then I GET stripes and my monitor turns off and says 'no input signal-go to power save' Quote Check your video drivers in your device manager. The fan still turns on and it seems to boot up just fine. Haven't tried taking the side panel off. I was able to mess with it last night peering through the crappy lines, but now it doesn't give me time to do anything - just shuts off after about two minutes- up until that time though, nothing appears to be wrong - no graphics issues at all. Then - stripes and shutdown. I guess the card is almost two YEARS old- with heavy gaming use (does that matter?...sorry i don't know these things ). My system has spyware/adware/antivirus, etc and I run scans weekly and always make sure it's updated. I'll give Sony a call tomorrow and get someone out here to look at it - i seem to have stumped everyone I ask When you open that case, see if the fan is still turning on that video card. Heat does a lot of bad things! So I am finding out. I googled the issue - I am seeing a lot of people have the same issue with the video card I have. I will check the fan thing! thank you again !!From the old GREY matter........vertical lines......sometimes happened on the amigma1200 before your time i guess.......... indicated a ram ......problem...... either type windiag in the run box......or download sisoftsandra/everest......and run the tests.... what colling has this /laptop/pc got.
