The locus of the orthocenter of the triangle formed bythe lines (+p)x-py+ pt)-0 and y 0, where p q, is.l+p)-0, (1q)x-gyg(l

Answer»

let the orthocentre be H(h,k)after plotting the line, points on x and y axis are:

-q(q +1)/2(p+1),0 and 0,q+1 respectively.

Hence the bisector eqn. for sides x = 0 and y = 0 are ----------->

x = -q(q +1)/2(p + 1) and y = (q +1)/2

there fore pints of intesection is h,k that is x,yequating and dividing them we get,

h/k = -q/(p+1)ory = (-(p+1)/q)x

or y = mxwhich is a straight line.

Peter throws two different dice together and finds the product of the two numbersobtained. Rina throws a die and squares the number obtained. Who has the betterchance to get the number 25?

Answer»

Reena has a better chance to get the number 25 as she squares the number obtained and their is more probability of getting 25 when numbers are squared as: 3square +4square=254square+3square=251square+5square=255square+1square=25hence more probably she will get 25 while as Peter will get 25 as a product only when he has 5 and 5 on both the dice

0.0.1,.1-2.2.1 MLN.5.1vided Rs. 107.50 between A, B and C in such a way that A:B = 5:4 and B: C = 3:4The ratio

Answer»

divide Rs 107.50 between A, B and C such a way that A:B=5:4 and B:C=3:4

so, here A:B = 5:4

and,

B:C = 3:4

In both the ratios A:B and B:C the value of B is different so we have to same it .

Take A:B

A:B = 5:4

we can write 5:4 as

(5×3) : (4×3)

15:12

so, A:B = 15:12

Now , B:C

3:4

we can write 4:3 as

(3×4) : (4×4)

12:16

Now ,

A:B = 15:12

B:C = 12:16

Now, the value of B in both the ratios is same so,

A:B:C = 15:12:16

let the part of rs that are given to all are

A = 15x

B = 12x

C = 16x

Total money = 107.50 rs

15x + 12x + 16x = 107.50 rs

43x = 107.50 rs

x = 107.50/43

x = 2.5 rs

So, the money that is distributed in A , B and C are :-

A = 15x

15 × 2.5 rs

37.5 rs

B = 12x

12 × 2.5 rs

30 rs

C = 16x

16 × 2.5

40 rs.

solution=Hey here is your answer

your question is :-

divide Rs 107.50 between A, B and C such a way that A:B=5:4 and B:C=3:4

so, here A:B = 5:4

and,

B:C = 3:4

In both the ratios A:B and B:C the value of B is different so we have to same it .

so, A:B = 15:12

Now , B:C

3:4

we can write 4:3 as

(3×4) : (4×4)

12:16

Now ,

A:B = 15:12

B:C = 12:16

Now, the value of B in both the ratios is same so,

A:B:C = 15:12:16

let the part of rs that are given to all are

A = 15x

B = 12x

C = 16x

Total money = 107.50 rs

15x + 12x + 16x = 107.50 rs

43x = 107.50 rs

x = 107.50/43

x = 2.5 rs

So, the money that is distributed in A , B and C are :-

A = 15x

15 × 2.5 rs

37.5 rs

B = 12x

12 × 2.5 rs

30 rs

C = 16x

16 × 2.5

Answer»
35.

on 3.Sanat throws two different dice together and find the product of the two numbers obtained. Rinarows a dice and squares the number obtained. Who has the better chance to get the number 25?

Answer»

Probability of getting product 25 on two dice=1/36(only 1 case when 5 is on both dice)=(1/36)*100=2.78%

Probability of of getting a number whose square=25 is 1/6(when we get 5 out of 1,2,3,4,5,6)=(1/6)*100=16.67% So, Rina has better chance.

4)One angle or nearinc5) The angles in a linear pair are consecutive odd numbers. Howmuch is each?

Answer»

Let two consecutive odd numbers are x and (x + 2)

For linear pair sum of angles is 180Thus,x + (x + 2) = 1802x = 180 - 22x = 178x = 89

Two Angles are 89 and 91
