Helen was a firm determined girl. Though she was blind and did not have the opportunity of a normal child, she continued her study with great difficulties. At Cambridge, she had to make Many adjustments. The classes were larger and it was not possible for the teachers to give her special instructions. She felt handcapped as there were very few books in Braille so Anne Sullivan had to read all the books to her. She had to spell the words on Helen’s hand. But this process was so slow that Sullivan could’t spell out all the books on her hand. Helen had to wait in order to buy a Braille writer so that she could do her algebra, geometry and physics as these subjects Couldn’t be converted into Braille. This problem caused a lot of problems in understanding the subjects. Apart from it, approaching examinations also caused a great stress and distress to Helen. She did not have much more time for the examination as well as for study as the process of her study was very slow. That’s why, some times, she lost her temper.
