Imagine your are the postmasterewho tried to helplencho Whitea letter to your friend sharingyour feeling and the whde incident |
Answer» Dear Diary,I know now the value of each letter. It is a warm, beating heart; priceless to the receiver. I realize what Ali must have gone through, waiting anxiously for a letter that came, but came too late. Here I am now, waiting for one more night for my daughter’s letter, assuring me that all is well with her and that she sends me her love. Ali lived for five long years and died in the hope that his Miriam will write to her. But I had seen Ali this morning, with my very eyes. He was stooped double with age, yet when he lifted his eyes to look at me, I was shocked at the unearthly light that shone in them. And then he had vanished. Ali had indeed died three months back. I put the letter on his grave myself. Oh, how I wish that I had been more patient and understanding with him on his last day instead of brushing him aside with impatience. I am grateful to God that he gave me the opportunity of delivering Miriam’s letter to Ali with my own hands. I am sure now that Ali is at peace in Heaven. His letter, for which he has waited patiently for five years at the post office, finally arrived. I pray that God forgive me for my sins and take care of my own daughter and indeed, all the daughters in the world. Let no separation be so painful that the medium of a letter cannot bridge the gap between two loving hearts. |

Child Labour and Battle for Child Rights in India |
Answer» Child labour is the practice of having children engage in economic activity, on a part- or full-time basis. The practice deprives children of their childhood, and is harmful to their physical and mental development. Poverty, lack of good schools and the growth of the informal economy are considered to be the key causes of child labour inIndia. Some other causes of Child Labour in India are cheap wages and accessibility to factories that can produce the maximum amount of goods for the lowest possible price. Corruption in the government of India also plays a major role in child labour because laws that should be enforced to prevent child labour are not because of the corrupt government. The children are the best gift of God on this planet and these little innocent children attracts the attention of every person. If children are asset of their families, then they are also the future of the country. So, it is the birth right of every child to be brought up in a good and happy environment with ample of love, care &affection. They should be endowed with good family and social culture & traditions so that they blossom into a wholesome personality as a responsible citizen of the country. But it is seen that despite many steps taken by the government and making laws against child labour, still there are fairly a large number of children who are deprived of their basic right of education and other priveleges of life, and are employed at various places just to earn bread & butter for themselves and for their families.According to 2001 national census, there were about 12.26 million children aged between 5-14 years, engaged in economic activities within different sectors. India has the highest number of labourers, aged under 14, in the world. Even today there are 32.7 lakhs children who are forced to work in rural and 10.8 lakhs in urban areas. The carpet industry in Mirzapur and Bhadohi is notorious for exploiting & employing children. The glass and bangle industry in Firozabad has more than 20,000 children working in hazardous & dangerous conditions. The diamond industry also employs thousands of children. The more recent report of International Labour Organization (ILO) claims that child labour is more significant in Tamil Nadu’s fireworks or incense sticks industries. About 20 million children are condemned to work as domestic labourers and in restaurants. Many NGOs like ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’ of Kailash Sathyarthi are working sincerely to eradicate child labour in India. Only concerted efforts by the government, the NGOs and the commonpublic can eradicate this evil from our society. same in google |
