kind of the conjection ?example. |
Answer» In the English language, conjunctions come in three basic types: thecoordinating conjunctions, thesubordinating conjunctions, and thecorrelativeconjunctions. 1. Coordinating Conjunction Among the three types of conjunctions, this is probably the most common one. The main function of coordinating conjunctions is to join words, phrases, and clauses together, which are usually grammatically equal. Aside from that, this type of conjunctions is placed in between the words or groups of words that it links together, and not at the beginning or at the end. Examples: Pizza and burgers are my favorite snacks. In the sample sentence above, the underlined word serves as a coordinating conjunction that links two words together (pizza + burgers). The treasure was hidden in the cave or in the underground lagoon. The example above shows how coordinating conjunctions can join together two (or more) phrases. The coordinating conjunction “or” in the sentence above links “in the cave” and “in the underground lagoon.” What those girls say and what they actually do are completely different. In this sentence, you’ll see how the same coordinating conjunction ”and” from the first sample sentence can be used to link clauses together (“what those girls say” and “what they actually do”), instead of just single words. |

18. What is a memo? |
Answer» A is typically used by firms for internal communication, as opposed to letters which are typically for external communication.Memos have a twofold purpose: they bring attention to problems and they solve problems. They accomplish their goals by informing the reader about new information like policy changes, price increases, or by persuading the reader to take an action, such as attend a meeting, or change a current productionprocedure. A little bit of background into the origins of the word memo will help clarify what their purpose is – so we’ll start there. Memorandum comes from the Latin nounmemorandumand has the same root asmemorare, which sounds very much like another word I can think of – any ideas yet? Not surprisingly, memoraretranslates asto recount,to mentionorcall to mindand, I’m sure you’ve realised by now that it gave us the word memory. So, a memo can be considered as something that should be used to remind people of something. And, that is exactly what it does. Memos are the written internal communication means for exchanging information relating to day-to-day functions within the organizations. memo is short name to remember any thing a note sent from one person or office to another within an organization memos are the written internal communication means for exchange information relating to day-to-day function within the organizations a note sent from one person or office to another within an organization is called memo. |

how was the end of griffin tragic? |
Answer» Griffin’s story is of a man who had no conscience, was callous towards other people and simply self-centered. He appeared to be at war with the entire mankind. All his actions stemmed from his desire to save himself, with not a thought about the pain he inflicted on others. When he was short of money he continued his experiments, without any thoughts of the consequences, he robed his own father, who committed suicide because the money was not his. He experimented on a cat, with no concern for the poor creature’s cries of pain. He threw it out and never tried to find whether it was alive or dead. He burnt down the house at Great Portland Street when the landlord and his sons found about his experiments and were horrified. He was only worried about covering his trail. After becoming invisible he committed one brutal act after another, not because they were necessary for his survival, but simply because he enjoyed doing them. The way he looted his owner of a small costume shop, and left after striking the old man on his head, spoke volumes about his inhumanity. He terrorized Marvel when he was on the run, fought with the policemen. His plan to spread reign of terror among people using his powers of invisibility really shocked Dr. Kemp. He even tried to kill him for betraying him. In his final run from the people hunting him, he killed an old man with a rod because he bumped into him. He dug his own grave when he decided to kill Colonel Adye. Before his death, he had sunk to the lowest depth a man could go and was truly a monster in human form. At the end of the novel, when Kemp was running to save his life from angry Griifin who was chasing him with the advantage of invisibility, Kemp could not run very far. Griffin seized him and began to beat him. Kemp’s cries for help brought the bystanders to the spot where Griffin was astride on the fallen Kemp. The crowd of people got hold of Griffin and beat him vigorously. Some of the blows proved fatal and he succumbed to injuries. This is how he met his end. |
