In fibrous proteins, the polypeptide chains run parallel and are held together by hydrogen and disulphide bonds. These proteins are INSOLUBLE in water. (ii) Globular proteins : In these types of proteins, the polypeptide chains are folded to give SPHEROIDAL shape. These proteins are water soluble. Proteins such as insulin, albumin etc. are globular proteins.
