A Shop on Fire

Jaipur, 6th June
Shanti Provision Store is one of the prominent and biggest stores of Naya Bazar of Jaipur. Last night the store was on fire due to an electric short circuit. Perhaps it must have been an hour until the watchman, who was on his usual round, noticed it and informed the owner at the earliest. The fire brigade was called and the fire was brought under control before it could take the neighbouring shops in its grip. However, the owner of the burnt shop, Harsh Chauhan suffered a great loss estimated at around 10 lac. Mr Chauhan is under shock.

जयपुर के नया बाजार में शांती प्रॉवीजन स्टोर एक प्रमुख और सबसे बड़ा स्टोर है। गत रात इलैक्ट्रिक शार्ट सर्किट के कारण स्टोर में आग लग गयी। आग लगने के एक घंटा बाद चपरासी ने इसे अपने सामान्य निरीक्षण के क्रम में देखा और तुरन्त ही मालिक को सूचित किया। आग बगल की दुकानों को अपनी पकड़ में लेती, उसके पहले ही अग्नि शमन को बुलाया गया और आग को नियंत्रण में कर लिया गया। जली हुई दुकान के मालिक हरीश चौहान को 10 लाख रुपये का नुकसान हुआ। मिस्टर चौहान अत्यधिक सदमे में हैं।
