we KNOW 》

i {}^{2} = - 1 \: \: \\ and \: \: \: \: \: 1 {}^{2} = 1

then》

y = \sqrt{i {}^{2} } 1 {}^{2} \\ \\ y = \sqrt({1i) {}^{2} } \\ \\ y = 1i
