x - 2y = 4/-2

From Eq 1 and Eq2,

3x - y = 6-----------Eq 1(multiply by 1)

x - 2y = -2------------Eq 2(multiply by 3)

3x - y = 6---------------Eq 3

3x - 6y = -6--------------Eq 4

Change signs ,

3x - y = 6

-3x + 6y = 6

Solve we get,

3x -3x + 6y - y  = 6 + 6

0 + 5Y = 12

5y = 12

y = 12/5

Now we can find the value of x by substituting the value of y in Eq 2,

3x - y = 6-----------Eq 1

3x - (12/5) = 6

3x = 6 + 12/5(take LCM as 5)

3x = (30+12)/5

3x = 42/5

x = 42/15

x = 14 / 5
