Write the charactersketch of ginger

Answer»

Ginger is Black Beauty's best friend. Ginger is a static and round character. She is static because her opinion of people does not change through the novel. She has disliked people since she was young and she still does not like them now. She is round because she is well-described so the reader knows her backstory and why she dislikes people so much. Ginger believes that all people want to hurt her and be cruel. She is skeptical and does not trust anybody. For example, Ginger says, "Another caught me by the nose and heldit so tight I could hardly draw my breath; then another took my under jaw in his hard hand and wrenched my mouth open, and so by force they got on the halter and the bar in my mouth; then one dragged me along by the halter, another flogging behind, and this was the first experience I had of men's kindness; it was all force" (Sewell 30). The first time Ginger had ever been broken in, the men used force which scared her. She can't trust anymore because her first experience of men's kindness was all force. She comes off as mean and aggressive because she can't trust anyone.
