Answer» For developing alternate medicine a new department was established by the ‘Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India. In 2009, this department was renamed as ‘Department of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy, Unani Medicine, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH). This department is also working for the development of syllabi and education of these branches of medicine, advanced research, standardisation of medicine, etc.
