Answer» GENERAL formula For ALKANE is CNH(2n+2) ; n is integer, n= 1, 2, 3…. For alkene it is CnH(2n) ; n = 2, 3, 4… For alkyne it is CnH(2n-2) ; n = 2,3,4… Since, alkene and alkynes refers to double bonded CARBONS & triple bonded carbons respectively, there must be at least 2 carbon ATOMS. :)
