Answer» Mgnerga is is a livelihood security scheme in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of wage employment in a financial year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work"If the government fails to do so they are provided with the unemployment allowance.. MGNREGA stands for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. This act was enacted in August 2005 and was notified on 7 august 2005 .It provides a legal guarantee for 100 days assured employment in every financial year.If the government is not able to do so then it provides a land to that person for cultivation to earn livelihood.In the first phase the act was notified in 200 districts.under this act wages are paid according to minimum wages act 1948 .It should not be less than Rs.60. |
