Reproductive health:-

A society with people having physically and functionally normal reproductive organs and normal emotional and behavioural interactions among them in all sex related aspects might be called reproductive health.

Importance and care:-

(i) The primary step towards reproductive health is conunselling and creating awareness among people about reproductive organs, adolscence and associated changes, safe and hygenic sexual practices, sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) etc.

(ii) The programmes like reproductive and child health care eater to providing medical facilities and care to problems like menstrual irregularities, pregnancy related aspects, delivery, MTP, STD's birth control, infertility, post natal child and maternal management.

(iii) The STD's can be prevented by observing simple precautions like avoiding sexual intercourse with unknown/multiple parents, use of condoms during coitus etc.

(iv) Infertile couples and assisted through various programmes one such being. 'Test tube Baby programme'.
