Answer» Importance of compass: since ancient times human beings have been using magnets to find direction.In olden days travellers used to carry natural magnets with them to find directions. Later navigators and explorers also used them while going on sea voyages. A device called magnetic compass was developed which was used by explores and voyagers travelling by sea. Magnetic compass is a small iron magnetic needle enclosed in box perferably with a glass cover. The needle has north and south poles marked on it. So this helps in finding north and south directions. Once we know these two direction is easy to find other directions. Today a compass is used in ships, helicopters and aeroplanes to find the location of places. This helps the piolet and captions to navigate. 😑 not a compass a computer, nice paragraph though |
