Answer» The complex tissue which conducts water in plants known as xylem. They transport water and mineral from roots to various plant parts. in xylem transport of MATERIAL takes place through VESSELS and tracheids which are dead tissues. xylem provides upward movement of water and dissolved materials mainly achieved by transportational pull it is CAUSED due to Saksham created by evaporation of water molecules from their stomata of LEAVES. movement of water in xylem is achieved by SIMPLE physical process there is no expenditure of energy so ATP molecules are not required for this.
