As she is poor, she is always seen in a faded blue dress that doesn\'t hang her right. She is without friends as she is not liked by others students in the school. She remains lonely. H, a lot of girls came to her to talk to her. Peggy and some other girls make fun of her by asking again and again as how many dresses and pair of shoes she has. She is quite simple and innocent. She often tells Peggy and other girl that she has hundred dresses. She is very skillful. She has herself drawn 100 designs of dresses. As she is very sensitive, she does not want to speak about them much. She surprises everyone by winning a drawing and colour contest at school. Thus, Wanda is a poor Polish girl. She is simple hearted, innocent and hard working. She becomes a victim of being different from others |
