Answer» The poet\'s mother would laugh in remembrance of the times that she had had as a young girl with her cousins. She would point at the picture to show how funnily she was dressed for beach but that laughter as the poet has remarked was wry. This was due to the fact that she was acutely aware of passing time and how the past becomes a country that beckons to them but one can never return to that place. The poet\'s mother would laugh at the snapshot because it depicted a scene in which she and her cousins were on a beach. Her uncle had clicked the photograph. It reminded her of her childhood which had a lot of sweet memories and the snapshot had captured one such memory. It reminded her of the fun that she had had on beach and hence made her laugh. |
