Why we do not add water in acid ???? |
|
Answer» If we will addwater into acid the reaction will be high exothermic which will lead to splitting of substances Because diluting an acid is highly exothermic reaction and if we add directly water in the acid a lot of heat may be generated and may cause the mixture to splash out and cause sever burns..that is why the acid should be added to water with constant starring.. Because the reaction is highly exothermic and the acid could splash over skin. because the heat produced by the reaction is so large that the solution may splash out or the beaker may break |
