Answer» It was unnatural of 450 pound heavy tiger to lie quietly for two and half days unnoticed by Pi in the lower deck of the boat. It was suffering from sea sickness and sedation. Pi’s father had sedated it early to lessen the stress of sea voyage on the animal. That is why it behaved unnaturally.
