Why voltmeter is always connected in parallel connection

Answer» A voltmeter is a device used to measure the potential difference “Between Two Points”. In order to measure the potential between two points, we have NO WAY around except to connect it in Parallel. A voltmeter is a device of having high resistance. So, if we connect it in Series, it would hinder the current flow in the circuit hence Open Circuit results. That’s why we do not connect it in Series.
