Why sun see red during sunrise or sunset |

Answer» Also during sunrise and sunset the sun is very far away from us than in noon when the sun is overhead When the sun is near horizon , the Ray\'s of light enters he atmosphere in an inclined angle .so most of the light is scattered and does not reaches our eyes. Red colour being least scattered reaches our eyes and and the sun appears red to us. We see red light during sunset or sunrise because during sunset the rays have to travel a big part to become visible to us and as we know red colour has most wavelength compared to others.... Due to scattering of light. Blue light is scattered all we get is red colour. |
