|
Answer» Light from the stars reaching our eyes increasing and decreases continuously due to atmospheric refraction. This constant increase the star\'s light reaching our eyes makes the star appear to be twinkling. But a planet can be considered collection of large number of point sources of light. So the dimming effect caused by some of the point sources is nullified by the brighter effect of other point sources and hence stars twinkle but planets not.... Stars twinkle due to atmospheric refraction . When light passes through our earth surface the light refracts due to different atmospheric levels..
