Why stars twinkle.

Answer» Star twinkle due to atmospheric refraction of starlight. As the stars are very far away, they behave as almost point source of light. As on account of atmospheric refraction, the path of rays of light coming from the star goes on varying slightly, the apparent position of the star fluctuate and amount of starlight entering the eye flickers. So sometimes the star appears brighter and some time fainter, thus star twinkle
Stars twinkle due to atmospheric refraction....we can say that star has point source of light...when light passes different layer of atmospheric bends towards normal..it fluctuate and thus twinkle...???
As star light enters the Earth atmosphere it undergoes atmospheric refraction due to varying density of air at different levels of earthAnd also continuous rotating earth change the amount of light by different amount so it seems as twinkling
Stars twinkle because of atmospheric refraction .
Cause of atmospheric refraction seems to be twinkle????
