Why stars are twinkle in night

Answer» Due to atmospheric refraction.when light rays of stars travell from rarer medium to denser medium it bends towards normal and due to different denties , atmospheric layers inverses and decreases continuously ,which appears that stars are twinkling☺️☺️
When the light of star passes though the atmosphere it fluctuates due to atmospheric refraction and appers as to be twinkling
