Answer» Because some element like sodium is highly reactive (with oxygen). Because some metals like sodium react very vigorously when it is exposed to atmosphere Thanks a lot Because metals like sodium, potassium and lithium react vigorously with oxygen nor we can\'t kept them under water because there is a brisk reaction therefore we stored these metals under oil Ya right Because some metals like sodium and potassium are so reactive and catch fire when kept in open so they are immersed in kerosene to prevent accidental fire.
