Why relative density not have any unit? |

Answer» Relative density is the ratio of the density of a material to the density of a reference material. For example: Specific density of a substance is the ratio of the density of the substance to the density of water. Because it is a ratio, the unit cancels out and we have only a number The units of numerator and denominator are same .So,they just cancel each other . Ya right Which gets cancelled out on dividing Because there are same units |
