Why pi electrons make alkene more reactive than alkane ? |

Answer» are more reactive than Alkanes because alkenes have double covalent BOND and alkanes have single covalent bond.alkenes bond less with HYDROGEN atoms since they have double bond between carbon carbon atom therefore is easily breakable. while alkanes are saturated having their bonds with hydrogen making it DIFFICULT to BREAK their bonds .....therefore alkenes are unsaturated and more reactive than the saturated alkanes |
