Why metals does not form compounds with hydrogen? |
| Answer» Because metals form compounds by losing electrons and hydrogen also forms compound by losing electron. So normally it does not accept electons given by a melal atom to form compounds.Exception:But very few higher reactive metals can react wth it to form compounds.Eg- 2Na + H2 = 2NaH | |
