Why is the homologous series of Alkenes start with Ethene , why not with methene |

Answer» Because in alkenes there is = {double} bond needed while meth used for single carbon and single carbon doesnt make dobule bond thats why.... Because in the structure of Alkenes, there is a double bond presnt. In compunds of Meth, there is only one carbon. And that carbon cannot make double bond with anyone not even with Hydrogen. Because carbon cannot form double bond with hydrogen that\'s why Freinds please answer it |
