Why is pakistan under general Pervez Musharraf not called a democracy |
|
Answer» Thank you Pakistan under General Musharraf\xa0is not called a democracy\xa0because the rulers\xa0were not elected\xa0by the people.People might have elected their representatives to the national and provincial assemblies but these elected\xa0representatives were not really the rulers. They could not take the final decisions.\xa0The power to take final decisions rested\xa0with army officials and with General\xa0Musharraf, and none of them were elected by the people. |
