1.

Why is only carbon used and not any othwr element for determining atomic mass unit?

Answer»

Answer:

it is because the carbon is the only ELEMENT to give the exact isotope of 12 as a mass.

the isotope of carbon with 6 proton and 6 neutron in its nucleus (carbon -12) give a mass of 12 which is NECESSARY for DETERMINING the atomic mass unit.

carbon is also used to DETERMINE age..

hope u go.t.....
