Answer» The purpose of an earth wire is to remove the excess charge or electrons from a circuit by moving them to ground. LIGHTING detector is used to KNOW the intensity of LIGHTNING , so the PRESENCE of an earth wire will REDUCE its intensity and we can't detect the actual intensity, so an earth wire is absent in lighting circuit.
